dear samantha lux, i have autisme and the reason why i want to be a girl is to learn how to communicate. the video you just made would be impossible for me to make because your looking at a dead camera and realising there's an audience behind it. Without a reference or reaction from another person i can't communicate. i have 2 best friends and 1 sports club with people i care about. do you think that transitioning for the sake of having female skills/attributes is a good reason? (it's not my only reason, but it is my most importent one)

@@justjoyce81 I am not the person you asked, but I feel I can answer adequately. I do not feel that transitioning as a way to gain social skills/traits is a valid reason. In fact, I believe you would find that it won't really improve your social skills at all on its own. However, if you feel that you are a woman despite your birth designation, I encourage you to explore those feelings and find out if transitioning is what you want or if it's something lesser for you. I am also autistic, and I worked through my socialization issues through time and perseverance. My advice to you would be to simply try to put yourself out there. Make some friends in a video game and start having conversations. Role playing on forums or by playing DnD also helped me dissociate from my normal mindset and learn skills that I would have been otherwise to anxious to learn, simply because I'm setting myself into a fictional space in my own head. Voice calls over things like discord helped me distance myself enough to become comfortable and start learning more socialization skills as well. Eventually, I also got a job at the front register in a Walgreens. The requirement to talk to hundreds of people a day really got me into the swing of things, but I would only recommend that once you feel comfortable holding a conversation several times a day. It's just like any other skill. Work at it, and little by little, you will improve. Over time, you will build an internal reservoir of references to communication between neurotypical people and will be able to call on them without even having to think about it. This is coming from someone with autism, just like you. :)

I'm completely new to the whole trans thing (I've never actually met a trans person). I'm a 39 year old white straight male, from a very conservative town/family/upbringing. I've been pretty much been set in my "John Wayne" ways my whole life, but I'm glad I discovered your channel, your videos have definitely changed my perspective on a lot of issues. I became a dad for the first time last year. I used to think... "what if he's gay?" "what if he decides to become my daughter one day?" and now I realize... who cares? as long as my child is happy, that's all that matters. P.S Samantha you are a stunningly beautiful woman (inside and out).

One day. We've had heart transplant surgery for decades. The only reason infertile women, including trans women and also cis women who have had a hysterectomy for endometriosis or whatever, and cis men, can't be made pregnant and carry to term, is because we haven't bothered maturing the technology.
@ivonnatrolue67474 жыл бұрын

@tealrose32484 жыл бұрын
Ivonna Trolue a woman who can't conceive and/or carry to term is infertile. Whether that's because of hormonal or structural issues doesn't really change the outcome. There are plenty of intersex type conditions where an XX woman is born without a functional uterus, and there are XXY women, as well as trans women, and survivors of endometriosis or uterine cancer or whatever. The outcome is a woman who can't have a baby. That's what medicine needs to address.

I wish my ex would have heard that last one. He was always so set on transitioning as if it would fix everything for him. He eventually viewed my pushes to get therapy for his childhood as controlling and unnecessary and stopped going entirely, I think because he convinced himself that the transition was the only issue. I think that to this day he still believes transitioning will stop almost all of the pain and sadness, and it breaks my heart. I hope he's kept up the therapy even after he left, but I unfortunately have no way of knowing. I felt like there was more to it as well, because, as much as he talked about HRT and how much transitioning would change his life, he never took me up on my offers to pay for it. At this point, I hope he's gotten past whatever block that was and has either transitioned or found the other reasons for his unhappiness. And yes, I am properly using his pronouns for those of you who might have thought it was a gay relationship to start. It wasn't. He made me realize gender doesn't matter when he came out to me. I used to be a good, straight Christian. I am now a sinful, pansexual agnostic.

Thanks for making this, I know it’s rude to ask about and embarrassing to talk about but it’s something I’ve always been curious about. I’m really glad the surgery is so comprehensive so trans people can have the parts they need, and it’s pretty amazing how good surgery is now for this to be possible. I also find it funny how most of these myths are things some cis people deal with too. People try so hard to invalidate trans people for not having “fully functional” parts and just end up invalidating cis people who struggle with sexual disfunction in the process lol.

Thank you so much. I was really struggling at work today and I kind of maybe almost broke down just a little bit in my car out in the parking lot, but this video helped me breathe and calm down. It’s so reassuring to hear someone talk about the positives of bottom surgery for once. I know that there are a lot of risks, but I can’t live with this stupid thing attached to my body for the rest of my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is exactly why I’m subscribed to you :)

This is a great video, very informative. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I know it was a lot for you and was constantly going past the TMI line and your comfort zone. I’m proud of you for doing the video and pushing through with it. It was a lot of very person and intimate things to share openly with the world. As for looking real I know general surgeon who happened to perform surgery on a lady after she had reassignment surgery and his comment was if he hadn’t know from talking with her before surgery he never would have guessed as he was inserting a catheter in her. Life is tough and I really feel for anyone who can’t or doesn't live the way they want to out of shame or concern for safety or are not able to get to a place to where they are more comfortable in life. I wish everyone all the best in having a good life.

Wtf no, in that surgery everything can happens, it depends in the genitals before surgery, the doctor, and the experience
@notsafeformiranda42714 жыл бұрын
@@nathaliealvarezz For many people its a combination of both. You can pick a certain vulva appearance as well as the non-visible aspects (ie depth), however sometimes it won't look exactly like the person wants it to because of surgical complications, tissue types, medical mistakes etc. However if you find a reputable doctor you strongly minimize that risk

I was thinking like how did you manage to get through all the hate and the struggles of the voice changing and all the changes you did.. In my country of origin, Bulgaria, when we were kids we had a saying: if you pass under the rainbow and come to the other side, you will transition from a girl to a boy and vice versa. We spent so much time running towards the rainbow as we were curious to be of the opposite sex at least for a minute 😂. I’m so happy that you and other people have made it safely to the other side where you belong! 😁 Keep shining and inspiring people! Your light is reaching many of us in so many different ways, not only on gender-specific topics. Your courage and confidence make you a role model for many. And keep busting misconceptions. PS: I’m a cis-woman and I can say: all it takes is a bit of education and a bit of compassion and we can end the suffering of so many people.❤️
