1) Impossible, only if you are very lucky, then you may fail and loose everything. 2) Be an expert in one market. 3) Stay away from quiet market. 4) Most of the time it is much better to study your own trading style than executing. 5) GONTROL YOUR RISK, it is better to take small steps, that actually get huge steps that may fail, be realistic and never be greedy. 6) It you don't want to be the best, then don't try to compete with the best traders in the World, because then you WILL loose.

I fly fish for native brown trout but occasionally fish for sea trout, They are exactly the same species but have different seasonal behaviors. I have specialized and concentrated on native brown trout since i was 12 years old .... i occasionally dabble with sea trout when they run. I have had some spectacular success with sea trout. BUT , I have consistent returns with native Brown Trout - I know their behavior regarding water temperature, time of day, feeding pattern etc. I can go out and land as many fish (probably more) in 2 hours as someone who has fished all day. I have watched the water (market) for years and know it.# I don't get frustrated if the water/ temperature is not in my favour - I'm happy to sit and watch whats happening around me and learning. Retiring next year (55) but hoping to earn beer tokens and keep mentally active as I go - I'm confident lessons learned in fly fishing for native brown trout , regarding temperament etc will help Good luck to you all

Traders evolve due to the impact of new information and new learning techniques. Your videos serve a great purpose in solidifying ideas and experience that you have and other traders have. Keep up the good work Mark...thank you

Education is the key. You're right about reading, watching and podcasts. Sometimes listening to people you actively disagree with helps you know why you do what you do and re-enforces your own ideas and strategies. Another great video, thanks Mark 👍

Great video Mark! May I know what are the major and obvious changes when you mean the market is ever changing? How much degree the price action strategies affected in a normal market that it used to work, if the market happens to change?

Love it, all great points. I liked #2 because when I started several years ago I traded it all, today trading is my main source of income and I'm super focused on what I trade. I think from the outside it looks very odd when I trade the same setups and same tickers over and over

Hey man like always great video. Can you make a video about pros and cons of mechanical trading and which one is better in the long run mechanical or discretionary trading. There's a KZbinr that promises their followers that if they develop an algorithm with 5 indicators that's all they need to trade forex for all their lives.
I think if you have a small scalp you can trade with a large amount.... love that last point I eat one meal a day

That it's easier than a regular day job. It totally isn't in my opinion. However, the benefit that you get in return is that you're the boss of your own work. Because of that, it can teach you to be humble, non-judgemental and responsible not only in trading, but for your own life and your own actions in general. That's why I think it's highly probable that irresponsible personalities (those that choose to stay that way) won't even bat an eye at trading, let alone succeed in it.

That's because you're reacting to the news not the price. I saw it go up on Monday. Didn't go in. I just put them on my watchlist and load and behold they tank because the hype didn't last.

Subscribed of course. But a question if I may of consequence to the event traders that perhaps many would like to ask?. Given many who are following this channel are event traders; and need what I'll call "event-information" fast, the moment it's available, that includes reporting information through to Black Swan information? Could you create a video that deals with the fastest sources of information that you know of?. Pretty basic I suspect from your quarter, but you're a long way ahead of most of us. Thank you

@@ukspreadbetting Thank you, I've grown used to the idea that the major funds are very slow to move, but the event traders who know what they are doing are fast, and that's the group plenty of us I suspect want to join?....

Another myth I thought you might have pointed to is that we are told by various online sources that trading strategies work in all timeframes....I think that is patently untrue....For one reason the smaller the time frame the more interlacing of prices there is (granted it is sold to you as liquidity provision but it is really a false price) and stop chasing there is although that is also happening on higher timeframes but not so prevalent perhaps the higher timeframe you go....My opinion only...!!

1. What if you trick yourself and split your 1M account into a 100 10K accounts and trade them by looking only at the main 10K account letting a trade copier manage the others? that is my plan to keep me trading the same way once I grow my funds Trading is all in the head !
@wesleywallace1015 жыл бұрын
Guy Redares what trade copier programs are out there that I could use to do this?

Many of the “Absolute Return” Hedge Funds that sprung up in the early 2000’s, were all able to make money in an Uptrend📈, but went bust during the Downturn📉 of 2008. 😧

Things I used to believe: the more Screens / Indicators, the better. It’s too expensive to buy now. I want to buy it as cheaply as I can. Paper trading is a waste of time. I can spend £5000 on a week course & then be qualified to trade ... 🤭
@thevictoriakent5 жыл бұрын
But you can trade more lucrative stocks. Say you trade AAPL now, you up yourself to AMZN. You trade MCD you can up to CMG. You trade FB and then change to Googl. Or go to BKNG or AZO, or MELI. Point it, yes there is a cap, but you can trade the same structure with smaller lots on more expensive stocks making you more capital. (I trade options on structure so there is a bit of scalability factor. )
@thevictoriakent5 жыл бұрын
Yep. I just trade puts on tech stocks on drops at open, get out in like an hour. It stresses my friends out. Other people love to sell slow stocks. Watch like 12 tikers but trade maybe 4-5 a week if the set up is there.

@pmf0265 жыл бұрын
So wrong. This is almost impossible with 1k. It is very difficult with 2k, less so with 5k... but 1k? 1k is ass. Simple: Food, Cigarettes, Housing bills, Taxes.. think you can easily make a quick buck by risking 1k? one shit trade and you're fucked. First, you've lost 350-400, then you can't afford larger positions, you profits will be very small (you can increase leverage, maximize risk).. and then...then you gonna try to get it all back... at this point you're done for. Apply for a job at McDonald's lol
