T hats my biggest issue, discipline, my strategy works over 80% of the times with a 1:1 ratio but getting enough sleep is my issue, i cant sleep early, i lay down but my eyes are like what are you doing?

I do Scottish showers. Hot at the beginning and washing, cold for last few minutes before I get out. Invigorating it definitely is. Hate doing in the winter, but always feel great after I do it. Discipline my friends.

I used to love taking cold showers and would often challenge myself to take the temperature dial lower and lower every shower and would force myself to endure colder and colder showers. After researching it though it's been shown that repetitive cold showers can seriously lower your testosterone levels in men (this also causes depression) it also becomes very difficult to bulk up if your going to the gym, you may find that your progress plateaus as your constricting blood flow (as well as lowing testosterone). It's still a good exercise for discipline however. Any physical activity which tends to be unpleasant, but you force yourself to do it on a repeat basis will help develop your discipline. Every morning and evening I do 30 press-ups for discipline building alone, although it doesn't always transfer to my trading lol

AMAZING. Cold Showers !!! That one came out of no where, but really its very important. Fellow traders i know you will want to get to all of these today and all together, but PLEASE do them 1 at a TIME, Master one or get relatively good at it and move on to the next, do the habit until its part of you, part of your OS

The 7th thing you have said, cutting and limiting the use of social media and such things, is a part of conciousness and meditation, being aware of what we're doing, the moment itself , and yes , alot are not aware , awesome video , worth a great rest to improve dicipline ans mind-set haha

What a great Video!!!! Cold Shower in the morning, the last minute of the hot shower is great!! Recently I've read a book regarding monastic discipline of Tibetan Buddist monks in old temples. You've gone through many of the things I learnt from that book in your video. I've been thinking trading as a meditation form since a while ago...It's such a great way to get to know yourself in very deep levels. I would add to your list, some meditation time... for me it's like rebooting my mind at the middle of the session. Great video, thanks a lot!!!

the hardest thing is sticking to it for long periods of times. There's days when you can do your routine easily, no effort whatsoever, but some days are incredibly hard, you don't even feel like walking out the door. If you do what you gotta do those days as well you are going to feel like you have full control of what happens in your life

Thanks a lot for this video! Could you please do a video explaining the pros and cons of adding extra setups into your trading arsenal? Having too many is bad and having a single setup limits you slightly. How can we work out the sweet spot?

That cold shower analogy. 100% on target. :D Totally applies to the feeling in the moment when you realize you're taking on risk in a trade. And again when a SL hits. I had to trade $2 stop losses in rapid succession and high volumes to acclimatize myself to this feeling. Also, I got this from other people who posted in forums like Forex Factory: I mostly put myself on forex/financial media blackout during the week. I only keep the economic calendar open for reference on when high impact news is scheduled, but I refrain from forming a directional bias or thesis based on it. This deliberately ignores building my experience in fundamental analysis, but I'm OK with that for now. Then on the weekends, I'll catch up on what people have been saying online.

According to Hollywood movies, someone would think a trader is a fat guy in suit , with the tie loose, surrounded by drugs pills and booze, maybe two strippers in the room, gambling all the money in every trade. It’s more exciting than thinking a trader is a fit guy waking up early to do some yoga, read Robin Sharma’s books and prepare green tea before entering into the market. Expectations vs Reality

I don't get it. Why would anyone break their rules (unless it is a scenario not defined in those). Why would anyone get out too early or take devastating losses. Just makes absolutely no sense to me. Still an interesting video.
