What's the foreign driver's license situation now? I hear the international license off a US license is no longer accepted. You have to take the real tests. Wondered if they offered an English version 😊
@RussiainReality17 күн бұрын
That's an excellent question. People with residency are now required to obtain a Russian driver's license and the test isn't offered in English. However, it is only the written test if you already have a valid non-Russian license. I'm currently studying for my test. There is a great app available to study, but again it is in Russian. Also, the rules here defy logic at times imho. :)

Russian education is great, e.g. Sirius schools for gifted children and Kvantariums, high tech labs for kids, then NAUK "Doctor of Science" 2nd level PhDs

Why are people scared of communism so much? They don't understand what the idea it was. We can understand our babushkas who miss Soviet Union because the state then played the role of a nurse. It provided everything then: apartments, free medical care, free education, and even jobs. It was a lot of really good things for the people then. No wonder older generation miss that a lot.

Pol Pot, Mao Zedong, Joseph Stalin to mention some. Under the flag of communism a lot of people have perished. Just look at the DDR in Germany where everyone was spying on another. Great distrust, even family members weren't to be trusted. China today is a hybrid state which lends from capitalism the free market economy for example. Watch their social credit system, quite disturbing. (Not saying western capitalist stats are great) Horrible communist initiatives like the gradual depletion of the Ural river for Cotton production in the 50s are costing heavy enviromental problem and will lead to wars in the future due to lack of water within the former USSR states. The argument of "the idea of communism is great" but when communist states are doing what they're doing that's somehow not communism. I always find hilarious. Watch some Orwell.

I think you bring up an excellent point and good reasoning. There were many benefits for the people during the Soviet period. However, there were many issues as well. As Dugin says, the task going forward for Russia is to develop its own new identity (I am paraphrasing).
@lidiapannacotta17 күн бұрын
@RussiainReality no need to create a new identity, we have everything needed already. Just need to come back to ourselves, to what we always were . And what historical background behind the nation makes every bit of identity here ready 😊

Why not make it 5 seconds each? Let's continue to spread degenerate trends and drive youths attention span deeper into the ground.
@yb8080Ай бұрын
@@TouhaiDensetsu Agreed, the young people's attention span is already the lowest it can be, why not make 2 second clips like they show on youtube videos.
