Overall I completely agree with your assessment. Not up to MMC's usual standard of quality and nothing feels quite right about them as a group. Out of all of the MMC I own they are probably the only ones I will just leave in one mode and never transform again (robot for Ni, beast for Foxwire). At the very least I have a Nickle to babysit my Iron Factory DJD

Quick note about the Pet figure: the head does plug into the chest fairly well, but the part that it plugs in to is not very well secured to the chest itself. On my copy it frequently comes off with the chain accessory when removing it or stays tabbed into the chin of the beast mode when going from robot to beast. The best I can tell, it's the same with yours since I don't see that piece on the chest during transformation.

With the pet I think you may have the peg for the animal head still stuck on the chain, there’s an extra green piece that should have been glued in but never was, I’ve gone ahead and done that since it has no reason to come loose.

I like them... I waited about 8 months on preorder and was very happy when they arrived... think how great they’ll all look once Tesarus and Helex come out. They were about £90 in UK.

Why are people saying this is overpriced? It’s about $60 for each figure. That’s a steal compared to the $100-120 most third party figures go for.

Dalton Williams because these are nowhere near the same quality of those 100 dollar figures you speak of nor are they the same quality as many import figures in the 60-80 range.

I agree with some things you said, specially about the price, 80USD would be more then fair for this set. I don't believe the D.J.D. would be complete without these two they are important to the story and to how this team relates to the Lost Light crew. They look the part but they could have been designed a bit better at least engineering wise. I haven't bought them yet but I will try to get them as soon as possible. Thanks for the review.

I at least agree on that they are too pricy. I ultimately don't have the same grievances you do as i feel they do what they should for small bots, but they are too expensive for what they are. $80-$90 i feel is more justified.

I think that mold looks alot better as Lost Light Ravage than as the DJD Pet. Especially since he only really have to nail the beast mode, and the 'bot mode becomes a bonus.

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh. You said it! Carriage before horse here and they know it with that price. That horse has been a long time coming (so to speak). P.S. Shout out to xtb and there Sea Spray, they took more time to get it right- HOPEFULLY. All those accessories, and never rose the price on it. 😕I miss those old car bot prices.

I was going to say that I do like how they look with the gang, but It seems like the value isn't close enough to the price. I did think like these two were the little brothers of the DJD. Hanging around with the big boys, we tolerate them cause we really don't have much of a choice in the matter. Still good to know they haven't lived up to someone's expectations. Thanks again for another helpful video and review.

Too bad you don’t like them and I can see why you feel you overpaid, but I would still get these before those two big guys you are waiting on simply because the whole Foxwire storyline grabbed me more than the DJD ‘background fillers’. I get the whole fiddliness and why you think they are too expensive though. Thanks for the honest review!

I was critical of Fansproject when they released the dino-raptor-girls ahead of Snarl (and then went on a protracted hiaitus), and FP are an all-time fave, so I'm certainly not gonna let MMC get away with it when product after product of theirs lets me down. Their Springer and Bruticus both look amazing but I'm out. It's a shame... At this scale, they should have been able to engineer the sea and air modes into Nickel (whose transformation seems to make pretty heavy weather of getting from one mode to another). Dominus needed more effort in the transformation of the beast head to make robot proportions better and, for me, they needed to go a little 'extra' on the moustache for this character. Overall, very pleased I didn't go in on MMC's DJD. Can't help but feel that if IF do these characters, they will do them easier, better, at a fraction of the size, and of the cost and that they will have released their Helex and Tesarus first...

I can't imagine IF being able to do these, they need to be very small, they need to be the same size of DX9 Soundwave cassettes and at that size the detail, paint and engineer these would require to be done correctly may be a bit to much to ask. One thing is for sure, if IF ends up releasing these at the correct scale I will take my hat to them and buy the D.J.D team again.

Their robot mode proportions look way off, both have tiny heads and hands, nickel also seems too wide.
