Hi, Bobby. There is one transformation step that I think you missed. It makes all the difference when trying to slot the folded cab into the larger body properly. The sections with two rear wheels on either side of the cab are meant to slide upward to make them more streamlined with the robot legs in the cab-only prime mode, and to allow the cab to fold properly into the Powermaster mode. The sliding joint is really tight (at least on mine) and doesn't seem like it should move at first. Once you slide these sections upward on the cab, you will find it much easier to slide the cab into the upper body via the two rail-like grooves.

Fans Hobby aesthetics are a bit like Transformers Animated, in the sense that some proportions are thicker, more bulky and square. I have their Grotusque, and I like it a lot (well, is the only version of that figure from third parties). Great video, thanks for your patience.

Awesome video. Love this figure. I’m about to get my Toyworld Constructor “Devastator” TW-C07X and I’m so excited as Devastator is literally one of my All Time favorite characters in all of nerdom. I love how they had a friendship with Omega Supreme and the betrayal due to Megatron. So incredible. I was wondering if anyone knew where the green leg kit might be available for purchase or pre order at the moment? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. I would be very appreciative if someone could point me in the right direction. If not, no big deal, I can wait it out. Till all are one.

I wish the thunder erebus mold was bigger as i consider it better than this one, I'm nitpicking but i can't stand the holes in his torso on regular-bot mode

The only pain combining them is the head access to tab into the top of the cab. That really should have been done better - hell I'd have been happy with using the original way from G1 PM Prime, and just disconnect the head to transform it. I have the original version of this, and the Marvel PM Prime head, and it looks the business. Easily the best PM Prime on the market despite the issue I mentioned. Fanshobby really did go the extra mile with the Marvel comics head+hands addon kit too. These guys and Fanstoys, along with MMC are probably the better 3rd party companies out there imo.

Had to get the comic book head too for mine. Makes all the difference. Original doesn’t match the body at all. He is awesome with that add on kit.

I mean, this is okay and all...but I don't see why the folks at Fans Hobby felt it was necessary to plaster the Shattered Glass Optimus colors onto Super Ginrai/God Ginrai. (Next thing y'know, Hasbro will get the idea to dig out the original Cybertron Optimus mold and plaster the SG Optimus color scheme on THAT...or worse, plaster it onto the Siege remake...*shudder*) Even the normal Shattered Glass Optimus never got the Powermaster body, I think he just went on to his G2 Laser Rod body...so SG Optimus AND SG Ultra Magnus repaints of their G2 Laser Optimus/Car Robots Black Convoy would've been more appropriate than...this.

Am I the only person who thinks the prime cab sticking out of his chest looks like a fan mode? Like, no matter what version of this character, it never fits in right, it never lines up etc (and not just on Bobbys channel lol). The sides of his torso never slot in nice to the cab, it never looks synthesised -- but it must just be me right?? No reviewer ever comments on it beyond "this might not be your thing" but I just mean engineering, aesthetic on its own terms etc. I'm in my own shattered glass universe on this ain't i???

It is what it is lol, but he did say that he didn't put it together properly, and I think that a lot of other reviewers seem to get it slightly wrong too. There's only 1 review that I've seen where the reviewer seems to combine it perfectly, and quite a lot of ppl praise his walk throughs. The box instructions are to blame imo, as they don't seem to be that helpful at all.

I was always mildly disappointed by the original, and it seems to have gotten a bit lose over time. i did debate the god armour but from what I've seen mp copy wont stand up under the extra weight.

My copy of this guy is a POS. I’ve watched 15+ reviews/transformation guides and read every page of the thread on TFW and I can’t get his neck/shoulder tabs to work. Probably my my most disappointing figure because there is so much to like but it’s such a failure of engineering/getting it done right.

U ain’t lying bro. I was super frustrated trying to combine and have the back and head tab in correctly. Had to watch different videos and pause them to compare the transformation of little Optimus, and it has to be exact or it won’t combine correctly.

I agree to an extent. I don't care one iota about Shattered Glass, but, I was born in '85, so Powermaster Prime was MY Prime. I love my normal Power Baser so much

I think it's because this mold is FH's greatest to date, and it's the one which made them famous. They probably feel obligated to keeping make more repaints of him, even though it gets boring really quickly. I do like this version of PMOP, but I wouldn't pay extra for this version or for any other repaints, especially when there's a higher chance of issues.
