I’ve never commented on a KZbin video before but GIRL, you have given me a better insight into the life of a college student. *future* in my case. I’m so close on deciding what university I wanna go to, UC Santa Barbara, which has always been my dream school. I was accepted, but felt unable to accept the offer because I had gotten incredibly close to my mom after my dad passed away last year & 8 hours away from home seemed like the end of the world to me. However, everything you said seemed to answer ALL of my fears, it’s crazy. Thank you so much for this, officially Santa Barbara bound!!

I found it SO difficult to make friends. I live at home since I didn’t qualify for residence. I noticed that people would just go to class, take notes, and then leave. You HAVE to put yourself out there. The university that I go to, Ryerson University in Toronto, is really great. They have really amazing clubs and are really accommodating. I think that going out of your comfort zone would help (I haven’t really tried that tbh).

If you come to IU expect to get lost a few times in the first week. I would honestly be shocked to hear someone say they did not get lost at all. This campus is a maze sometimes and the inside of the buildings are just as bad 😂

Any big ten 10 school will have a good campus atmosphere. Several big ten schools are also considered public ivy schools. All but the two newest inductees - Rutgers and Maryland, are in the Midwest. The east coast schools have slightly better weather and Rutgers has the appeal of being close to many east coast major cities including NYC. - IU alum

I would jokingly argue PSU is de facto Midwest - because PA is considered the Midwest of the east coast, and State College is in the middle of nowhere.
