MZ/IB Archive: WCCD Grace Café: The Glorious Freedom of the Children of God (July 16, Hour 2)

The dirty little secret about a pardon is that it can be revoked. That's right. You can be pardoned one moment and then un-pardoned the next, and our Lord proved that in a parable He told, which I share on the air in this Grace Cafe broadcast from Cleveland, OH, on July 16, 1999.
The big bang on this particular broadcast, however, is a driving explanation of how we are free from sin due to the cross of Christ. While pardon/forgiveness is an essential element of the Circumcision/Israel gospel, justification by faith, taught to us by none other than our apostle Paul, is a glory that far exceeds mere pardon or forgiveness.
Thanks again to Rodney Paris for his work in bringing these videos to you. And also, thanks to those at the broadcast table with me, who each contribute to fleshing out the great truth of justification from sin.

Zender I love that you keep the main thing the main thing grace, grace, more grace. Grace works on sin the same way Chantix works on tobacco addiction. One little dose per day makes the craving go away.

Was Cornelius a Jew or gentile and did Peter go to a gentile Jew,

I believe that he was a gentile. It's possible he was a proselyte (is that what you meant by "gentile Jew?). Act.10:2 says that he and his entire house were "devout and fearing God". But, if you look at Act.11:3 you read that the Jews weren't happy with Peter because "You entered to men having uncircumcision, and you ate with them!". The Jews at least, considered him a gentile and not worthy of being visited. Hope this helps.

@@GregUniRec i heard this preacher say the Jews that moved on to other countries or towns lost identity by not getting circumcised no more or participating in the temple and these Jews were also called Gentiles, but I’m not sure. I just heard that. But thank you for your reply.
