The Beautiful Gerda has had an eventful life.
Born in Zschopau in the GDR in 1975,
she obviously didn't really get along with the regime there,
because just a year later she went over to the West - as they used to say there.
The Neckermanns were their western escape helpers at the time.
But like so many Easterners, she did not fare as well in the West as originally hoped.
To be honest, it really hasn't been easy for her. Over the years, the Beautiful Gerda was in a relationship twice, had to work a lot and received little recognition for it. Her qualities were far less appreciated here, like those of her three less-pretty sisters, Emma the Iron Pig, the Rattling Tesie, and the Rusty Berta, who stayed in East Germany.
To make matters worse, she was then abandoned by the arrogant Westerners and from 1991 on she was left alone, disappointed and resigned. It was only more than 30 years later, when she was visibly getting on in years and she had almost given up, that someone recognized her qualities and paid her due attention.
He was Polish and his name was Marek. He saw himself as a kind of part-time
talent scout. In this short but intense relationship with Marek, Gerda
blossomed back into her old beauty. Because, as they say, the polish was pretty much gone before Marek gave her new rouge and a facelift.
Yes, you can see what a difference a little care and respect can make.
Today she is younger and more beautiful than ever and you can no longer see her advanced age at all.
But Marek suffered from great fear of commitment and therefore never stays with a partner for long.
And because, thanks to him, the Beautiful Gerda had regained her former self-confidence, she soon looked around for a more reliable partner. She has recently been in safe, trusting hands again, has found new friends thanks to Oskar and, most importantly, is finally experiencing the appreciation she always deserved.
She is unique in the society she now lives in.
She can maintain her beauty and her health without ever having to work hard again or face undue Asian competition.
She even works out diligently again to regain her former fitness.
You can clearly tell that she is doing well.
It still has a chassis that many drivers lick their fingers for.
Of course, Oskar immediately took the beautiful Gerda into his heart.
As is his habit, he often just sits pensively, listening to their old stories and admiring their stylish, distinctive appearance.
And when she takes him on a trip, he enjoys the unique sound of her voice, with which she cannot deny her origins. Always a tad too loud, a little rough and a little obtrusive for some ears, it sounds sometimes sonorous and smoky,
sometimes jangly and cheerfully cheeky, so not necessarily feminine, rather androgynous.
But that goes well with her harsh style and the temperament that flares up again and again, which doesn't seem to fit her real age at all.
A real East German original, the Beautiful Gerda.
