I’m using the heavyweight wood beaters. I’d love to give recommendations on another type of head but I like these so much I probably won’t be switching around anytime soon!

I’m currently using the dw control xl beaters. They seem very similar but have four removable brass weights and a larger surface area for more punch. A comparison would be interesting

James, would you recommend going for n+1 beater or just choose a dynamic beater, because the pedal already has an adjustable hoop clamp? Thanks

Hi, so witch beater head you recommend for mesh head (electronic kick pad)?

Hi Gabriel. I would go with plastic or wood for mesh. Mesh heads tend to wear felt away and there’s no benefit to the Mr Muff there. I would probably suggest going for plastic due to the rounded surface in either the light or heavyweight depending on your preference of beater weight.

Thank you very much for your quick response. So yes plastic might be the best option for me. I have an other question about my Roland KD140 kick drum, I don't know if the FTW Darwin pedal Will fit with the dynamic beater at the optimal position angle without touching the rim of my pad. If not should I just take the n+1 beater?

@@gabrielthibaud3361 the Darwin FTW should be totally fine with the kd140 because if the adjustable hoop clamp.

@@gabrielthibaud3361 I have both and for me the plastic is the best option. It feels great and it is not that loud and clicky as the wood one. So I prefer the plastic one, but both are a good choice!
