I'm a mixed kid (white/black) and grew up listening to both rap/hip-hop and rock (I naturally gravitated to metal as I got older). When I tell someone that I fuck with both genres equally, no one seems to get it but things like N.E.R.D. and Rage Against the Machine can satisfy the craving for both. I mean, come on, it's just so damn cool to mix genres together !! 🔥🔥🔥

MTV used to play this video all the time when this song came out. This song wasn't slept on, but N.E.R.D as a band certainly was. People expected their sound to be like what they heard in The Neptunes beats. If listeners didn't approach N.E.R.D's music with an open-mind, they were sorely disappointed. Personally, I love their albums.

A combination of not only having a great singing voice but this man can sing, write, compose, choreograph, produce. What else can I say. He is the total package plus a very humble person. Kudos to Pharrell Williams. I am happy he is FINALLY getting the credit he has been deserved for so long! Godspeed Pharrell! You are one in a million!!!!!!!!

@Noobiie69: Pharrell wrote "Happy" for Cee-Lo Green to perform as one of his own songs, but Cee Lo's producers denied the single saying that Green had to focus on his new material.
