Nezhmetdinov is a legend. Botvinnik had said for him that "he understands combination like no other..". Thanks for the presentation Matto.

This guy's winning games are really fun to study. His attacking logic is so different from my mundane logic of stringing pieces together in a supporting network and hoping something will work out in my favor. I notice in the wiki article that Nezhmetdinov had a losing record against Petrosian and Korchnoi--both defensive style players. I take this to mean that overall, strong defense beats strong offense, or perhaps original attack lines are harder to come up with. Still, I like looking at attack chess from guys like Nezhmetdinov and Tal. Their chess is so much more interesting than mine. In addition, I like Nezhmetdinov as a person. He seems like a genuinely good guy. All gratitude to Mato and others who are keeping the memory of Nezhmetdinov alive.

it must be a night mare playing against this guy. his multiple attacks are so well coordinated. if u defend him well, he will sacrifice a big piece like the queen and phuck you up.. he is like the mike tyson of chess when tyson was in his prime, relentless in your face pressure with multiple combinations. this guy makes grandmasters look like amateurs. i fell in love with chess again.

Nezh was a helluva player! Never got his due. People below mentioned Nezh as Tal's "trainer". Someone could tell me if I'm wrong, but I thought Nezh was Tal's second, not his trainer. I don't think they are the same thing.
@gemymohamed93348 жыл бұрын
they say that because he helped Tal with preparation against Botvinnik

I think 22- ... ; Ng3 is also winning with checkmate in two or three moves, in two different variants, instead the queen's sacrifice. It's that correct or not ?

sir according to you who is best imaginative player Rashid nezmuddino , tal , or someone else
@MrBobLat7 жыл бұрын
Dear Mato, I am a great fan of your videos. (from Dxb) instead of the Queen sac couldn't black have played Ng3+ then b x g3 this could be followed by Qx g3 intending Qh2 mate and if this was blocked by h3 black can take with queen? as the g2 pawn is pinned.
@MrBobLat7 жыл бұрын
thinking of other possibilities ie if instead of bxg3 kg1 is played then knight can take on e2 check and after whatever white plays Qh2 is check mate.
