Kurt Struebing NME In 1986, Kurt Struebing of Washington thrash metallers NME(Guitars) ingested enough drugs to believe that he was a robot. In an unfortunate turn of events, Struebing decided to cut his mother open with a hatchet and scissors to see if she was a robot, too. She was not, and Struebing was convicted of second-degree murder, serving 8 years in prison. Struebing reformed the band upon his release but died in 2005 by driving his car off a swing bridge in Seattle.

When i first came across this online it triggered a memory of some sort. I feel like i either saw it on a flyer or someone i knew had the demo or something. So damn good! When i heard it on here it immediately transported me back to washington state mid 80's. Back when bands had regional sounds and you could tell what part of the country a band was from just by listening to them. This band SOUNDS like washington state circa 80's. Back when people weren't so pretentious and lame. We were all in it together, even if we had never met. Back when if you were walking down the street and saw a punk or metalhead you didn't know you'd run across the street to introduce yourself to your newest friend. Back then it was us against the world while living in small city conservative hell's. Back when having a mohawk was brave(especially for women)and extremely dangerous. Everyone hated you. Everyone but your small extended metal/punk family. RIP 80's music.

just put the speed to 1.25 and it ll be like the live versions of the songs, the ones i listened to were always faster than in the albums of venom.

Probably because of its ostensible similarity to Venom. I've never thought of it that way but people are here saying it; I guess so.

I remember getting this album when I was a junior in high school in 1986. A friend of mine had gotten the album also, & we compared notes. We both came to the same conclusion: Good songs, lousy production. Imagine what this album would have sounded like if the band had worked with a better producer.
@justsomedudeyouknow83723 жыл бұрын
Half of what makes it good is the crap production in my opinion. I was a hessian through the 80's and got bored with bands that got too produced sounding. Kreator pleasure to kill blows away anything they did after, and thats raw as hell.

@@justsomedudeyouknow8372 I agree, the "crap production" makes it sound better lol
@justsomedudeyouknow83723 жыл бұрын
@@OnTheDownLowODL Well ya figure back then nobody knew what they were doing, and most sound guys and recording people had never recorded music like this, so they had no idea what to do. Plus most punk and metal bands didn't bother with mastering and all that(couldn't afford it, didn't know it was a thing, didn't see any need for it), and there were no mastering programs/computers. Everything was analog reel to reel. Most of the time the crap production wasn't on purpose, like a lot of bands now. If this was done now it would sound lame and way too produced. Plus all the drugs these guys were on didn't help(or did?) lol
