They are superior to the current models. I bought one brand new in 2006 and it's lucky if it has 1000km . Left most of the time in our holiday crib. It's much lighter than the new models, the suspension is exceptional. I'm feeling lucky now.

So what did it go for? I just bought one from a 68 yo gentleman, original owner and I LOVE it! Great trail bike gently ridden and plan on enjoying it for many years until I hand it down to my son

I have both the KDX 200 and KLX 300R for many years. They are only a year apart 97 and a 98 I believe. My 300r has been through more abuse then known to be phathomable.. Anywhere from flat landing 80fters and snapping exhaust tabs off frame, then just run nf open header the rest of the day. To blowing the frorks COMPLETELY apart. With some power steering conditioner in the forks and a some kind I f Honda exhaust rigged I started commuting it to work 30 miles down highways for months at a time. Doing all of this without changing any parts. Still has complete stock engine unmolested and factory seal. Only other than a replacment timing chain and checking vales and basic wear items, pads,bearings, filters etc.

I'll take them both out frequently. They're very evenly-matched. Hrtx performs better and places tight technical sections for the most part. But on the open trial the KLX reels the two stroke in without a problem. The KDX is quite a bit more upgrades, and you can feel the tightness of the machine but overall performance it all comes down personal opinion or preference. Two of the best machines that have ever been created for off-road. Hands down!!!!

I have a 2004 old 300 good trail bike maybe put 1300 miles on it

I just looked it up and it says the 2007 klx 300r is carburated don't know what year they did get fuel injection

Ya 1:34 he said it was fuel injection but it is carbureted, just a mistake he is the motorcycle guru lol

i would of kept the new bikes n sold all the old ones
