Yes, the title mentioned lubrication and all you talked about was it was well lubricated. I want to know where to lube mine as it makes a screaming noise at slow speeds. As you mentioned below to go to your channel and I did and found nothing on the lube points on these older Katos.

your videos are timeless and helpful. I have been working on basket case engines and this one like all of your sessions is very good. However the trucks keep falling out. I had one spare SD-40 truck that fit and stayed in. There is a minor difference on the trucks that came with this engine....I think previous owner miss matched the trucks. Most of the engines are oldies and wish you had some work on Arnold and Minitrix. The old Life-Likes and Bachmans are more difficult because of the soldered wires. Some of these are going to become dummys. Liked your trip to Cuba. Tanks a lot!!

Not to disparage on a other wise excellent video but the engine is a SD40 not a SD40-2. The SD40-2 has a longer frame then a SD40 and SP never had SD40-2 but had the SD40T-2 commonly called a Tunnel Motor. They were built with a reverse direction radiator to draw cool air from the bottom of the tunnel to prevent overheating in tunnels.

that's good to know I will make the change. I think the -2 had a small window on the engeneer'side of the long hood.

Yes they do a small window there. It's so they can see the coolant level sight glass.

Yeah, you could have at least pointed to where you WOULD add the lube. Otherwise, great video!
