As a fan of the art gotta say this is exceptional, and the nice slow close ups allow the eye to take in all the beautiful detail. I felt the desert wind.

@ What a great hobby, eh? One can model so many different types of topography and locales. Your modeling of the desert is something else! Beautiful! (And that’s coming from a ‘city kid’!) It’s such a treat to be able to view it all! Thanks so much for sharing it!! Really enjoying it!

Thank you very much for your reponse! You're right! The hobby offers so many opportunities, techniques and materials to deal with. We can combine the passion for trains, landscapes, vegetation, structures in a model railroad layout - and some ideals and imagination 😉. By the way: Topography (rarely used in comments...), a well known term for a former cartographer... Enjoy your layout and keep up the superb work! 👍 Cheers - Rolf

Brilliant modeling. Love the realistic scenes, especially the old abandoned farm with the windmill and truck. And you have my favorite roads covered.

That is a pretty amazing layout. Great music to go with it also. All we need to see in there are some coyotes and a roadrunner! ( Maybe even the coyote's catapult ).

Found your channel by chance today and am very impressed with your layout. Terrain, desert landscape, buildings and the many details are masterfully designed, for me a high level of model building art. Last but not least, I find your film music perfectly selected for the mood of the videos. Thank you for sharing. I just subbed and am looking forward to your progress. Greetings from München/Munich from an N-scale enthusiast who discovered his love for North American landscapes and long freight trains a few years ago. 🤠👍

The work that has been done on this layout is really great. Having lived in the desert it is very realistic. But - Maybe I am just too critical, but videos of trains going by do nothing to show the complexity of the layout. Just one long shot that shows the layout from end to end would be great.

This is one of the finest presentations of N scale that I've ever seen. And I've seen lots of videoes! Great job. Just gotta ask, though... Did you ever consider using code 55 rail for your track? And if so, why didn't you go with it?

Nice layout, BUT it is not any where close to Sonora Pass. Which is up around 8000 - 9000 ft in the Sierra Mountains in CA. Covered in pine and or Fir trees and at the very top is above the tree line. Palm trees do not exist there.
