@@kodhaivaradarajan2154 every director can make his version. That is what director is meant for. This happens even in international movies. I'm such a great fan of ps Novel. It worked for me. Do you expect everything to come in 3 hours. If you do then that's foolish. There are many lengthy conversations and lengthy sequences which every one enjoyed in the novel. Do you think all those will engage the movie audience even though they were good in the book. And the grammar of a book and grammar of a big screen is distinct. People don't expect to read a book on screen. Things must be concised and visually presented. It has satisfied 90 % of the audience. That's fair enough. There will be imperfections in every art. Nothing in this world is perfect or good enough to satisfy everyone

You are right... about the story running parallel but not meeting Kalki's story at any point. Unable to understand how Kundhavai meets Adita Karikalan! In the Kalki story, they never meet. Kundhavai meets Vandyadevan through Alwarkadiyan's brother Thirumalai but not through Sethan Amudhan. In the Kalki story, Alwarkadiyan briefs Kundhavai about current affairs, not through Sethan Amudhan. In Kalki's story, Vandyadevan will not be dancing with Vanathi. Vandiyadevan will not be watching the Palace dance, he will be having a nightmare. He will wake up and see Alwar and see the plot. Too many unnecessary changes....

I am a Malaysian n love Chola history from very young. I hv visited d Tanjore temple abt 20 times bcos each time i visit i still can't get over how mesmerising this temple is. This Dr have given very very true n correct review and comments...spot on. After watching d movie i too felt the same. Alot of effoorts and extreme hardwork is much evident...kudos for that. After seeing how extensively this movie was promoted it was a Much awaited movie but a lil dissappointed in terms of story. Other than war n fight scenes the movie was a lil slow n boring in between Mr Maniratnam should have maybe consulted this Dr.

The one you gonna produce will have a piss poor cast and backings and how will you even recover your cost? Chumma keyboard la utkaanthu athu ipadi pani irukalam ithu ipadi panni irukalamnu solalam, but ManiRatnam made possible which was impossible for 50-60 years. And I don't fall into that 'they have spent this much, they have put such an effort so let's support type' also. There can be flaws in the movie but it is not terrible as people claim to be. Learn to appreciate. Now Maniratnam has seeded who knows in future some good OTT will definitely produce a series. But you cannot easily brush this movie just like that.

But these days tamil paesa theriyadava only Tamil heroine. Alaga irunda podhum. Nadika theriyathirum no issues. Adukulaam varada Kobam. You get furious for having my own view on how the story can be covered and reach more people. People like you have a clarity that only top actors and actresses should be given opportunities forever. Even you don't feel worse if their movie gets flop for 1000 crores. But judge people for spending 1000 crores on young artists. Moreover, ofcourse MR did impossible a possible. But there is no soul in it. PS was already an imaginative story. They added extra imagination to it. Just a colorful cake with no soulful taste in it. If you want applaud do it by all means. Actors want to be paid for their service. And for producers it's just a gambling business. Even they dont care about our history. But we as viewers can have views on where to spend our hard earned money. And everybody got their own views just lyk u abt clarity.
