I actually thought 2156 had a pneumatic Bell, this came as a big surprise to me

Many locomotives with pneumatic bells have rope pull cords too, in case of the pneumatic part failing.

Of the Class A’s, #1200-1237 had swinging bells. During restoration for the NS Steam Program, #1218’s bell was modified to be pneumatic.
