For Pipish, you could have based it off of the Halfbeak. Halfbeak are a type of fish that kinda look like a pipette, not to mention they are closely related to needle fish, sharing the same order (which is note worthy as sharing an order is the entire reason a woodpecker turned into a toucan). Oh, and if you need any more convincing, another name for these fish is the spipefish, which is just 3 letters off from its name already. Edit: couldn't count for some reason
@ohcadin6590
@ohcadin6590 Жыл бұрын
Just an added note... I was originally going to say to base it off of the saury as that fish shares the superfamily of the needlefish but then I decided to take the Toucannon route by looking into its order and found the spipefish and realized that was a much better connection to make. Edit: spelling... also on the Wikipedia article about the spipefish the example image is of spipefish called the Ballyhoo... this isn't at all important I just found it funny

I have a strange phobia of needles. I only fear specifically the ones that are use to draw blood. If they are giving a vaccine or sedative I am alright with it, but it is meant to extract blood I would freak out even though I have a high pain tolerance.

It’s not strange at all, blood is supposed to be inside the body, pretty much every other tool that causes blood to leave the body when used is a weapon and most people aren’t thrilled about any of those being used on them, a phobia of getting blood drawn (and the tools used to perform such an act) is a pretty natural consequence of your innate aversion to getting stabbed

As soon as I saw that you had a beaker version of Sinistea, I immediately got an idea. You could revisit the idea of a beaker Sinistea, but with a twist. You could make it a flat-bottomed beaker shooting out foam or the material known as "Elephant's toothpaste." Polteageist would be the foam that shoots out, and could have the appearance of a Djinn coming out of a lamp, as Galarian Polteageist shoots out of the spout of the teapot it lives in. The typing could be Ghost/Poison or Fire/Poison. Reason for *Fire*/Poison is because the reaction that creates Elephant's Toothpaste creates enough heat that gloves are needed to touch the beaker again. Reason for the *Poison*/Ghost typing is that the reaction makes a fair bit of steam and fumes from said steam, and because as of now, the Gengar family are the only Pokemon with the Ghost/Poison type combo. PokeDex Lore-wise, it would be formed when a child past away in an unfortunate Science Fair accident or if a curious enough child on "Bring your Child to Work Day" gets a little too close to an experiment without realizing that it's dangerous.

I think a really neat idea for Bunge is to intertwine its incomplete form with its ability. I suggest the ability “exhaust intoxication.” This ability makes it so that when it enters the incomplete form, it sets a perish counter on all Pokémon on the field except itself (or all Pokémon on the field except ghost and poison types) and when it is in it’s incomplete form, its offensive stats massively decrease and (I’m torn on this one) either it’s defensive stats increase or decrease. Also, getting rid of the Pokémon also stops the perish counter

I was thinking about other tools that I sometimes see in labs. I'm more interested in biology myself, so the first thing that came to mind was a petri dish, electrophoresis (like a gel pokemon), or centrifuge. Maybe even a line based off the central dogma seems cool (although it makes less sense since the evolution when going from DNA to RNA would make the pokemon shrink since RNA is so much smaller). I also thought about as common model organisms like Arabidopsis thaliana or Drosophila Melanogaster. Then I thought about functional groups with maybe reactions that change the functional group as it evolves.

Uhm, small problem I have with one part: You only want to avoid your bunsen burner preform an incomplete combustion when in active use. When not activly using it, it's actually more dangerous to have it preform a complete combustion, as it's a hotter flame that's harder to see.

I used to be a biology major (had to give up when my health got really bad) and this video takes me back. Microbiology was my favorite course. But nobody was instructed to wear the required PPE for the BSL the lab was rated at, which makes me wince when I look back on it. I'm surprised my only mishap was burning myself with an inoculating loop that I was sanitizing. My professor kept aloe vera on hand because she just knew it would happen someday. It makes sense that it happened to clumsy old me lol. I love that there's a mouse line of fakemon too. I used to keep various rodents (in different cages of course) but I developed an allergy to all of them that exacerbated my asthma. My favorite was a Syrian hamster named Curie. My plan for any hamsters I had after that was to give them a science-related name until allergies threw a wrench into things. I just subscribed and I'm looking forward to more videos. KZbin recommended me your magnet video and I was hooked.
