JetBlue has become my favorite airline for both International and Domestic flights. I have yet to splurge on a Mint or Mint Suite but after seeing how nice it is I plan on going for it next time. The fact that the coach seats all have more leg room (and overhead storage bins) than any other airline I've been on has made me a loyal jetBlue customer from now on. Plus the blue lighting is aesthetically pleasing to the senses.

JetBlue has the best domestic business/“first” product in the US today. Mint is comfortable, the food is really quite good and innovative for airplane food. Personally, I think the Mint Studio would makes sense for long haul flights (7 hours or more). On a return flight like LHR to JFK (8 hours plus) I would probably pay extra for the studio, but I’d still be fine with the regular mint product. I think it comes down to the individual and their preferences/tolerance for flights. To each their zone (literally lol). Either way, JetBlue looks like a top choice flying, especially with the Mint product on transatlantic routes. I can’t wait to try it myself sometime soon. Great review Sam!

That's interesting what you said about turbulence over the Atlantic. A few years back we flew on an A321 on a flight to Hawaii and had the worst turbulence I've ever been on. A321 has an undersized wing, so I think that's part of that, and it tends to get tossed around more in turbulence. 757 has a much larger wing for its size. After that trip I swore I'll never do anything smaller than a 757 for transoceanic again.
@danfonseca5633 жыл бұрын
Yes you are so right..These planes have longer bodies and short wings.Compare to a 747 or 777 the wing surface area is much smaller.This were not meant for transatlantic flights .Trouble is more companies will use these to maximize profits.They care little for passengers comfort.

Jet Blue always has meals for purchase in economy. Aside from maybe Alaska, the offerings are MUCH better (and cheaper) than Delta/AA/United. The economy pantry on Jet Blue offers a lot more than the big three in terms of snacks. There have been a few airlines that have used the 757s to fly over the Atlantic. And then flying over the Pacific to Hawaii I still love flying the 757s to Hawaii. Now, up until the pandemic problem British Airways has the smaller all Business Class Airbus 318 flying over the Atlantic that fly into London City Airport. Have to see if they are still flying with that smaller aircraft with the present and soon I hope getting back to the new normal of flying. I still like the 757s aircraft to fly long haul. I do admire the flyers that like the Airbus narrow bodies flying the distance. We also have many flyers who have their small corporate private jets to fly the long haul distance. That is very nice to fly the Gulfstream with others like that corporate jets over the large oceans and that is a treat!!

Hi Sam, great review. I thought the product was functional and comfortable. The the on-board welcome in LA was really flat, just too informal and felt like I was being greeted at a Pizza-Hut. The JFK to Heathrow was not too different, functional and comfortable. The flight atmosphere lacked the panache of international travel; I felt like was on-board the Euroliner going from London to Brussel. Overall, the product was comfortable, clean, and functional. But, given my choice I would pay more for a premium carrier like United. I still love your first video in 2007 aboard the A380 being served a dry-ice coconut. The best video KZbin. Cheers, Sam...

You make a comment about turbulence on the transatlantic sector maybe being worse in a smaller airplane. I would dispel that myth - my crossing back and forth on Oct 31 and Nov 9 were some of the roughest crossings ever, the approach to London being especially lurch-some. This was on BA 787-8. I think it's just stormy weather. But emotionally, I agree that it's somehow not so bad on a bigger airplane....
