Nice video, Chris. That's a nice two lane freeway there.

Great ride as always Chris. I thought it was unusual to see the green in between the white stripes in the median on that two lane road.

The green in between the double lane indicates "autoweg" (lit. 'car road') which has a special status. It sits between highway ("autosnelweg") and regular out-of-town roads. It has a maximum speed of 100kph (instead of 130 for " autosnelweg" and 80 for regular out-of-town roads. Also, no pedestrians and farm traffic is allowed on these roads.

I liked the super-two layout at interchanges, reminds me of Germn B31 East of Friedrichshafen. Nice job as always!

In the end there's a little reflection of the steering wheel :D

Very nice! Haven't seen anything like this, although I think we do have a similar one on the Sunshine Coast in Australia. What was the reasoning behind this if you know?

Personally think the rural US in general could use evermore of these “super two’s” between our interstates & at-grade rural divided highway networks… only places such 2 lane highways with interchanges is prevalent enough are in the state of Kansas & parts of the New England region…

I would have thought that this route would be much more used. Maybe it's causing its own effect, but one would think that the Twente region would do much trade with the northern provinces perhaps (Drenthe / Groningen / Friesland). Very surprised to see that is not the case, seemingly. But then who do they trade with? Germany? Amsterdam? I think the traffic is insanely light here from what I was expecting. Always surprised to see these 2x1 'expressway' or 'freeway' things. Personally I don't think of them as true expressways in that sense. Also, I don't think there are any expressways that are not at least 2x2 in the west and in the south. Might be a nice country-road, but not of very high quality. I think perhaps that explains Twente's relatively weak economic position (I believe) in the province of Overijssel. Though I don't know how much making everything 2x2 might cost. Then again, supposedly Overijssel had 1,8 billion to spend in 2014 in the provincial chest (schatkamer). So I think they could pay for that. I think not many people really dislike Twente itself but it's kind of decentral I suppose. And also in Germany it does not directly border any major agglomerations. Though I suppose the BAB 31 there provides for some form of transport into the Rhine / Ruhr area but it's kinda far. I wonder what economically wise are the driving factors in Twente anyway. I know they have that university that is supposed to be a university of entrepreneurs, but I don't know of any real icons of the economy there. I know that in the south, it is mainly industry and some services, in the west, everything is mostly dominated by services, with some industry here and there, in Guilders I think services are also getting stronger, north is (at least I thought so) mostly agricultural products, and perhaps some other things. But I can't seem to make a picture of Twente's economy.

I call this the road of madness. Always crazy accidents happen here because people tend to be bad at driving on this road :D

I see this also in this video:why overtaking??? Why drive fast?? Where is the fire? The road is not the problem. The users of this road are the problem.
