That gap in the VNT is supposed to be there, that's your minimum flow setting. If it was fully closed it would choke your engine. I'm currently putting a hybrid on my e90 n57 and debating if I should do the job myself. How was it doing it on the floor with a jack?

Very easy mate literally take the exhaust manifold shield off and the rest as I’ve done in the vid and its easy. N yeah i figured the VNT gap should be there in the end 🙂

@@houseofcars6998 only just seen this notification my apologies. I'm making it myself as I work for a turbo specialist mate. Currently in the middle of doing it, I'm Going for a 65mm compressor wheel and upgraded shaft from an AMG turbo. If you have insta or WhatsApp I can show you the parts and keep you updated on it

@@houseofcars6998 yeah you need specialist equipment to set up a turbo such as a balancing machine, flow bench and such. I'm planning on getting mine mapped at gkr hopefully around August so I'll be able to show you the numbers I'm getting and you could order the same setup through us. I've just followed you buddy 👍

Partially. Watch my custom boost pipe vid that was part of my problem. The main underlying issue is still there I think and its potentially my MAF wiring so I’ll be getting that mapped out maybe. I’m still looking to see if it could be anything else though. What issue are you having?

@@houseofcars6998 My car goes into "limp mode" sometimes randomly, the same sound as your car. It sounds darker and more. I have read on sites that they have problem with play in the acctuator, you know the wastegate arm that goes into the "electronic box" And my car as a play there, so I think my only solution is to replace the turbo😕

@@tobiasfransson3381 there will be solutions before a turbo is needed if thats the case. Have you checked the inside of the little box the actuator goes in to? You should be able to feel the play on the rod even now as they’re not on there tight at all. When I took mine apart it was very easy to move. Any error codes coming up?

@@houseofcars6998 I have checked and it is both play in the box and out by the wastgate arm, I have not opened it I have ran the diagnos computer from my work but and it was codes on turbo pressure and so on, but not quite sure exactly what it said
