N724CZ Cozy MK IV landing at Hicks Airfield T67

The Safety Team at T67 advised that traffic avoid going above 1500' MSL to stay out of Meacham KFTW and Alliance KAFW's approach patterns near 2000'. I descended further out than I usually do, near Azle. The gear overspeed warning is set at around 130 knots, mostly to remind me to raise the gear after taking off. It is fine for it to be down at quite a bit higher speeds since there are no gear doors to rip off. The wind at 4500 was about 50 knots. I didn't lower the brake until short final and realize I tend to move the stick when I reach for the brake switch. Not my best landing, but considering the wind it wasn't terrible.
