Super easy to pull the engine and swap those gaskets. If you were in Wisconsin, I would have you swing by and we could knock it out. This is something YOU can do!

This would be a cool video to see a upgrade to the Subaru…

You couldn't Tee into one of the breather vents of the valve cover? There should be a restrictor for the oil flow, right? Just trying to gauge these little guys. I have a EJ22 that I want to use for a seaplane project. 300HP max emergency take off, 150 cruise.

Did you get new rims for the Subi?

Later down the line I know a couple people who run ej255 or 257 short blocks with their single cam heads to add some strength. Even just replacing the headgaskets with sti gaskets help not a bad job to do
@thesailor45118 ай бұрын
Wouldn’t an EJ255 with a single cam head just be an EJ251
@_rumble_wagon32048 ай бұрын
@@thesailor4511 the turbo blocks have slightly more support for boost and of course the lower compression pistons and stronger rods in the turbo application it’s just an easy way to add some strength to ur build

idk if you will respond to this, but I was wondering what intake you used? I'm planning on turbo-ing my car and I can't find an intake that will work for me cuz i have a 2005 Subaru 2.5rs, and idk if the stock WRX intake will work for me
@GoldGuyRides2 ай бұрын
@@ryderzy6860 I fabricated my intake from scratch, it was pretty simple. You can see how I did it on my turbocharging video in this playlist.

I’d be running a 5w-40 not that you are turbo charged. NASIOC has YEARS of research that you can go down that hourly rabbit hole of information. TLDR 5w-40 for EJ turbo charged engines is a great Oil viscosity

It's probably your oil separator plate leaking

Never use an oil pan gasket on a Subaru you will get a leak ask me how I know
@WiseMotorsports9 ай бұрын
I did a lot of research on it after it happened to me and Subaru specifically says to use rtv they don’t make a gasket for a reason
@GoldGuyRides9 ай бұрын
@@WiseMotorsports if I would have used rtv it would have gotten so messed up by the time I actually got the oil Pan back on properly. It barely fit back in there so I'm glad I used the gasket. It is a high quality fel-pro thick rubber gasket and it is sealing perfectly. I'm not worried about it.
@bretteinhorn85077 ай бұрын
Your good dude, I used the cork replacement and overtorqued it. Doesn’t leak.
@WiseMotorsports7 ай бұрын
@@GoldGuyRides I used the felpro gasket aswell and had a leak the same week I’ve heard a lot of bad and no good until you but I’m glad it worked for you and I hope it works for others
