+Blair Light As a person who happens to know how Cory tends to work on the bandstand, the drummer was well instructed beforehand and in the rehearsals, how to play, what to play and when to play. None of what you hear was a "coincidence". See Cory doesn't play around with things like that. He's very hands on how everything sounds live, down to the EQ settings of the snare on the mixing board.

I'm somehow getting crazy. I know that good music sometimes needs time to get understood, that less is more and that everybody can't like everything. But I can't understand people whose body doesn't move with this music! From a fellow musician. Henry. With this simple harmony, you just "understood the world". Na na na na : very non-chalant, almost indifférent. When we sing while cooking, why do we do it? Not to impress anybody, that's sure, not to practice the song,. We do it spontaneously, as to express some feeling that is other than happiness! As if we express life it self ! The music and art are not a luxury, it's a need, a way we communicate and feel what we can't really communicate with only words. While the bass line, raises a sore concern, but immediately ends it with a wise smiling acceptance. Yup, music is not the dance, the million dollars clips or the gigantic stage with fire work! Music is an experience that we share with people with whom we communicate. This is true music!

I'm Japanese, and I recently learned about this song. When I first heard this song, I felt nostalgic and cried. I really love this song. There are still many Japanese people who do not know this song. On the one hand, I want to convey the charm of this song to many people, but on the other hand, I also want to keep it a secret just for myself. I was impressed. thank you.

I agree with your statement that he's amazing, but of all great things you could have chosen from this video you chose just a basic improvised run?
@DereBear2 жыл бұрын
@@simonlutgens I think it’s more so that this world class key player also has some pipes of his own than a run, which wasn’t that basic. Usually the go to is a pentatonic scale goin down
@simonlutgens2 жыл бұрын
@@DereBear yes it was. Pentatonic scale even, with the exception of the minor third to make it a bit bluesy. Still a nice line, but not one of the highlights of the video in my opinion
@DereBear2 жыл бұрын
@@simonlutgens yeah I would say the blues scale is a step up from the pentatonic scale, also it didn’t just go straight down and it swung. regardless, I think the point is that this guy can sing on top of being a fantastic keyboard player. Let people enjoy things, damn!
