The problem with this roof is the roof does not go over the edge of the eve. What you have done is just a temporary fix until that Cockrell is out. If you stepped up on the roof about 4 feet and added a new section of roofing and had an overlap that Eva very adjacent building, and then see all the top of that piece that would be better.

I think it would be much better to cut and remove the rotten edging altogether and take it back to below the line of fasteners. Cut from new roofing sheets replacement inserts, which are lapped and fastened in place. I recommend painting or otherwise sealing the laps and also the underside of the inserts at the edges where water runs off as these areas are prone to rust. I think this will provide a better and longer lasting option than patching the exposed edges, which are very corroded, and I guess just as much on the underside that you can not see.

Why to not add metal flashing underneath the roof metal and extend over facia ?

You are not removing tar. You are removing asphalt.

Nothing lasts forever so I am a bit sceptical. If the roof has corroded that much on the outside what about the underside. You mention capillary action at the edges on another video so it is bound to happen here. I have a decramastic roof and the tiles at the edge exposed to the weather are heavily corroded on the underside which didn’t show on the exterior surface. So to do the job properly I believe you have to lift the iron sheets and treat the underside in the same way especially if it is corroded. Otherwise rusting will continue due to condensation etc.
