This is the full story (Part 1, 2, 3 all combined) about how Prophet Muhammad destroyed Safiya bint Huyaiy, the most beautiful girl in Hijaz. When the Prophet married Safiya, he was 60 year old, while Safiya was only 17.

It was narrated from Anas, that the 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗺 𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘, but 'Aishah and Hafsah would not leave him alone until he said that she was forbidden for him. Then Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed:
"O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allah has allowed to you.' until the end of the Verse.

Abu Hurayrah said: While the Prophet was lying with Safiyyah Abu Ayyub stayed the night at his door. When he saw the Prophet in the morning he said "God is the Greatest." He had a sword with him; he said to the Prophet, "O Messenger of God, this young woman had just been married, and you killed her father, her brother and her husband, so I did not trust her (not to harm) you." The Prophet laughed and said "Good".

But during the Islamic Golden Age, Muslim rulers were more concerned with advancement and Jews were "tolerated" under dhimmi status and taxed jizya. This was without a doubt humiliating, but it was nothing comparable to the horrors suffered by Jews under Christian civilizations in Europe. I encourage you to read plenty of books on Jewish communities that both thrived and suffered under Muslim rule.

When Allah tells Muhammad about how long a divorved Muslim woman has to wait until she can get married again. The first time around Allah only says that the woman has to wait 3 menstruation cycles, but when Muhammed tells his followers the words of Allah they start asking him what about women that are not menstruating (either because of menopause, because they have a desease, or they are too young to have a menstruation... creepy). Then Allah realises that he has to provide further instructions for those cases... But isn't Allah supposed to be almighty? How can he not predict that his first explanation is clearly incomplete for his worshippers to follow correctly?
