Natalia Tesarowicz I know all well known basses in the world. Your father I did not know. A few moments ago I heared your father singing Ol`man river which I heared first in the early 50th with Kenneth Spencer and last with Cesare Siepi in Parma/Italy. Please, what happened to your father? He was sitting in a wheelchair. He was ten years younger than I am.

Great cast! Ichihara is incredible!!! As is Dimitrova ... She owned this role. Fondary is the most dynamic Nabucco I have seen and heard. Budai and Tesarowicz, are tremendous. This is one of d'Orange's best!

In questi ruoli la Dimitrova è stata la più grande del dopo Callas e finora insuperata, in barba ai puristi che la hanno sempre accusata di urlare troppo!

Dimitrova extraordinaire comme à Milan avec Muti et Bruson ,.Laffont bon comédien ,inégal dans la partie musicale.Enfin un Ismael ,brillant ,vaillant ,extra.

Un Fondary en plus grande forme qu'il ne le sera dans le même rôle, toujours à Orange, 9 ans plus tard. Un excellent comédien qui plus est, beaucoup plus cérébral que la presse ne l'a cru. Sa technique est tardive et rudimentaire, ce qu'il le rend plus méritant pour un tel rôle, où il est totalement dans la lignée verdienne.

Abigaile,Norma,Aida,Tosca,Eleonora,Turandot etc.etc.etc.... dal vivo la sua voce era semplicemente perfetta. poi è ovvio che l'essere umano non è un ordinatore o uno robot..... dal vivo La Dimitrova con la sua voce immensa nel registro acuto ''copriva'' tutti cioè coro e l'orchestra erano semplicemente inesistenti. sentire dal vivo la voce sublime delLa Dimitrova era un'esperienza unica. ps. la voce enorme delLa Dimitrova era il nemico numero 1 del microfono e il stereo... la sua era una voce lirica vera.

I don't think she's struggling but given that mistral is quite strong here probably playing safe, even omitting the traditionally inserted last note in cabaletta. Who is truly awful here is Nabucco, for me, completely spoils the performance. How can one sing Verdi without cantilena?..
