Great games by both Liereyy and Viper. Was cheering for Viper, he played really good today. Kudos to Liereyy for his brilliant performance! Thoroughly entertaining set of games. Very well organized by the whole crew and many thanks to Nili!

Liereyy is so good at knowing how powerful his army is at any given moment within the game. He rarely takes a bad position, seems like his army is so often forward enough to put on pressure but not over-extended. The man just takes map control until you pry it out of his cold, dead hands.

SPOILER. viper is not in the best shape and he still did really well against lieryy,the top 3 are equal right now vipey,hera and leireyy if all are in best shape. its nice to see how compettive the aoe seen have become

Not sure how you can say they're equal when Hera 3-0'd him with barely breaking a sweat. Liereyy dominated here as well, much more than the scoreline suggests. It was never in doubt. Those two are miles ahead at the moment.

@@BlueBerry-ot4qb Hera has always had the skill, perhaps not necessarily thinking outside the box, but it doesn't really matter if you can play meta at 4,000 APM. His flaw was his mental strength, or rather, lack of it, on the big stage. Now he appears to have overcome that. I think he's going to dominate for a long while now.

Man, first two games were simply painful to watch but rest of the series was great. Last game had multiple questionable decisions but it was also incredibly tense till the very end. My favorite game was the one where liereyy was pushing with high army low eco while Viper was defending, this clash of styles always delivers.

BTW Viper is still #1, saying that from an analytical POV, not from a fanboy POV. Hera through this tourney played better than him, but the 4x1 is simply too fresh. Really rooting for Hamzah, but the Cobra still has the sauce.

Spoilers: Man I think Viper had that last game if he was just a bit more patient and didn't take that uphill engagement. I also think it was a bit of an early resign. Glad to see that the snek was able to show his skills though despite being sick.

Maybe next tournament you guys could add like 3 hours of blank screen at the end of videos, or make each video like 6 hours flat so that you can't guess if someone will get sweeped and that there's a possibility of a comeback, at least in your head. Isn't a problem for this vid but it was for a couple, but love the tournament so far!

This will be an unpopular opinion but I understand why pro's don't necessarily use the castle unit which was counterintuitive for me at the start because it seems to me like they almost represent the civ to some degree, I am in favor of buffing all unique castle units and unique units in general a little but across the board to see them get more play, the castle unit should be like the superpower, like the Mongols Magundai for example, it's their identity, like Spanish with Conqs, Turks and Jannisarry, what happened to them? they got nerfed... why? because they outrange normal units in castle age....this was a perfect opportunity to buff all unique units a little, allow more counter play and emphasis with castle units What AOE is lacking is big flashy fancy moments, I watched a LOT of LoL and played a lot too, they had their big epic highlight moments in tournaments, where as AOE often times can be boring, yeah the micro is cool and there are moments, mango hits and kills 5 arbs or something meaningful, breaking in a wall and killed a few vills early, but we should have more epic battle moments, and I think this should be something that will take time to do correctly and require balancing to some degree of course, but it will make things more epic and fun and suspenseful, imagine if every civ had their Mongols Magundai unit? how much cooler and more fun and epic would those battles be? good that the Turks outranged the others too hard, let the other civs have buffed castle units and let's see this all play out, that sounds fun and exciting to me, mega hype cmon

Just an idea, nothing to do with the tournament, how about the devs make Atheism better by changing it to "Military units can no longer be converted" rather than the stupid and rather useless no relic victory thing? They can become a decent counter against strong monk civs.

This has been a brilliant tournament, but the title is quite ironic given that the casting was so heavily biased towards The Viper I wondered who his opponent even was at times. It was bad against Villese but this was just down-right laughable. I usually watch Memb but wanted a change of scenery and to support the host, but it was really bad.

@@Cheximus Yes, I watched the whole thing. I didn’t think the casters were overly biased toward either player. If you saw more of Viper than Liereyy, it’s because Liereyy was the aggressor most of the time, so you mostly saw Viper’s base, since nothing was happening at Liereyy’s base.
