The Arena game was simply incredible, one of the best Aoe2 games I've ever had the pleasure to watch!! It was so good, that it completely overshadowed game #3, which was a Tatoh masterclass (Armenians with Feudal Pikes and Towers overwhelming Castle Age Khmer!).

The only bad part of this video is it's abrupt end. I had to rewatch to see even who won... Like - can you explain WHY did Tatoh resign? I was loving the explanations and that would've been nice. (obvi it was Imp and being behind, but I'd like to hear Viper's reasoning as to what TaToh was thinking.

Who must have been the brilliant mind that came up with putting Hera in red and Tatoh in blue. More knowing that they always use opposite colors in their streams, games and tournaments. Even in this set!!!

In game 4 I believe Tatoh should have gone Skirms instead of HC. I guess he didn't expect Hera to hold so much and wanted a power unit to kill early imp, but it was just too much value for the monks to convert. Skirms+Light Cav would probably be better overall

Monks + pikes are just untouchable by light cav or HC, given that Tatoh already had Archery ranges elite skirms would have been the best counter, just let Hera waste conversions on Skirms.

great games! but it doesn‘t feel like the good old times anymore. we never see celts, mayans, britons, chinese, franks, japanese, teutons, vikings. we all know it‘s stupid to have all these new civs, but it’s even more stupid to always balance them superior to the old civs.

we have seen chinese, mayans, franks and japanese already. from the "old" civs we have also seen: aztecs, koreans, byzantines, huns, mongols, persians, saracens, spanish, turks

@@NiliAoE2 yes but there are rarely matchups beetween the old civs. only 8 of 99 games. if you count armenians, poles, romans, georgians, bohemians, gurjaras, dravidians, bengalis as the "recent new civs": just 63% of the games are without them

viper good commentator but the other guy is a little annoying tbh. Spent a lot of time saying "its so hard for them to focus everywhere" and "the level is so high" while viper actually commentating the game.
