​@@kenken0175Jimmy absolutely wouldn't have confessed if it wasn't for Kim confessing everything on her own. He still tried everything until the last moment, never thought of giving up. Unlike Kim he didn't really regret his actions, he simply did it because of her, which is also why he tricked her into being present at the trial

@@solidzack Guess you missed the point entirely. Jimmy had spoken the deal down to 7 years of jail as a last testament to his skill. He dragged Kim to court falsely just so she could see him confessing his crimes, since Kim had lost faith in Saul. Nothing forced Saul to spend the rest of his life in jail, but Jimmy wanted to be honest in the end and chose so.
