Interesting how a key plot point requires the intricacies of the US legal system, but because Colombia has a different legal system, that plot cannot be written the same way. Saul Bueno frames it more as a multifactorial legal / PR disaster versus in the US where it's a straightforward matter of encumbering a property through litigation.

Interesting detail at 9:48 that the subtitles don't quite capture: Saul says to Skyler, "te tuteo en fin." Basically he's saying that he'll refer to her using the informal pronoun "tú" rather than the formal pronoun "usted." He claims this is to make her more trusting of him, and in previous scenes he's referred to Walt as "tú" as well. I just think it's a cool little detail of the translation that doesn't apply to the English version.

I guy that could only dance salsa, what a Misscasting...imagine a combination of Louis CK and Rob Schneider playing Hank, or the dad from Malcolm playing hisenberg)the fact that the only had 2 days per episode no seasons or maybe just two to wrapped up, and some less than inspired direction and writing makes the show unwatchable. it feels like in metastasis everyone is so much more aggressive and close minded even if they are talking about the same stuff

That makes sense for Colombia, even more so I'm Bogotá.

@@guy6796 I didn't knew that BB was a soap opera! I was refering to latin american soap operas, the acting and camera work look really similar!

Saúl Bueno es lo único que realmente me gusta de lo que he visto de Metástasis. Aquí sí atinaron en el casting, tienes un buen actor con el personaje correcto 👏🏼

For those who watched “el cartel de los sapos” I could see that amparo and guadaña are here in the Colombian version

He reminds me of a younger Walter Mercado.

Metastasis is impressive despite its heavily reduced quality compared to Breaking Bad due to how fast it was made

People are saying Saul Bueno was really good. Ill go a step further and say the set was also very good here. In Breaking Bad the set was more or less made to feel intimidating for the opposition (ie Jessie's parents) in the Columbian show the set feels more like how itd happen in real life. Meeting at the clients house. I know it doesnt make sense story wise but i thought it was a unique but cool touch.

Also watching this more, I love the word choice, heavy handed on the parents part, but Saul saying "Used to be a labretory to manufacture illegal drugs" feels more in character than him straight up saying a "meth lab". Idk, maybe I'm splitting hairs. I just enjoyed this script a little more

It also make it feel like a scene from season 3 of Fargo. That's not necessarily a compliment depending on the person, but it's oddly atmospheric

Colombian. With an O. It's not that hard.

Bueno's actor is honestly very good, regardless of him looking like my grandma.
