Man,when I see you lift that Amp without much effort my old brain cannot equate lightness with quality Amp.😂 I have to remember this is a class D Amp.! That Amp is one of the better looking ones on the market at that price point! Heck,the box is a piece of Art!💯 I still want the BuckEye Amp but lets face it it’s No beauty and I like to show my equipment!😳 Hopefully the performance will outshine its looks!😄 Congrats on your NAD and definitely looking forward to your review!💯👴🏽

Yeah, it looks awesome. It's still a good 20+ pounds. The M28 is bigger and heavier too, coming up. Buckeye is still awesome gear!

Monitor Audio Silver for center and surrounds, Lyngdorf FR-1 for LR and Lyngdorf MH-2 for heights (7.2.6). Using 3 XTC edge A-400 for heights. Really wanted two M28 like You👏, but felt it was slight overkill for heights. Sure your setup will be fantastic👍

I'm going a little overboard, maybe, with M28 channels for every speaker. But I'm OK with that. I'll be set for a long time.

@@Techthusiasm Guess what? We're both software engineers (I've been working since 1992), had Parasound, and now I've just ordered a NAD C298 for my front L/R in a mixed use music/movies (7.4.4 setup). In the last year, I've moved over to music 99% of the time, and heavily upgraded my music side (speakers, stereo preamp, audio components/dac/ddc/r2r streamer). I'll repurpose my Parasound 2125v2 (love it) from the front L/R speakers to the surround L/R speakers, and take the load off my Arcam AVR5 receiver (was powering the center channel, and surround L/R). I cancelled my order for the Musical Fidelity M6s PRX amplifier because it didn't have an input trigger. (I also disliked that it didn't have a gain knob) My videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp7bgmV4fs-mrdU

I have essentially the same electronics setup in with an AVM90, A21+, A52+. Very interested to hear your thoughts if\when you swap out the parasounds. What is your primary reason for trying the NAD? Heat, power usage, space, sound?
@Techthusiasm11 ай бұрын
So far, I'm very happy with the change. My living room speakers are now silent. No noise floor. I expect the same in the theater with the coming M28 amps. The sound strikes me as different. I'm adjusting as it does have a different tone, I feel. That's the difference between fully clean sound and the warmth the Class A/AB Parasound adds. I feel I can hear it. I'm getting used to it to the point where I won't perceive any difference, but I'm sure I felt it at first. This was a big reason I wanted to change - no noise, smaller, compact, premium build, cooler, less power, Class D.

Very nice, great review. Great choice with Nad... enjoy that system, looks very nice, and will sound even better. i had a tough time deciding between the M28 and musical fidelity. I always have been a fan of the musical fidelity amps, so i went with that brand. My system breakdown I have the Nad M17 V2i processor, again my musical fidelity 7X200 watt amp. My speaker choice is all bower n wilkins. The front for stereo and home theater is 702S2. Center is 705S2 paired together for the center channel. Rear is 705S2. Height is the m1. For home theater SVS PB3000 subwoofers.

Hi Jaremy. This is off-topic, but I have an important question to ask you regarding projectors. I presently on a JVC 550 projector that’s getting long in the tooth. It’s still performing quite well but I’m looking for an upgrade. I have a 135 inch elunevision audioweave screen. I presently have my projector mounted approximately 16 feet back from the screen itself. But eventually I’d like to push it back outside the room which will probably be around the 24 foot mark. I’m considering either the NP5 or the NZ7 there’s roughly a $4000 price difference between the two and your opinion is it worth spending the extra money and going with the NZ7.. Will the extra light output really make that much of a difference along with the laser light source. I’m really struggling with this decision but I value your opinion and knowledge. What are your thoughts on this? I love your videos Jeremy keep them coming.
@Techthusiasm11 ай бұрын
Dave, reach out to me at techthusiasm_jp@outlook.com, and we can chat offline. I'd consider the answer an "it depends" type of thing. I would prefer the laser and related benefits of the NZ, personally, but there's a considerable price difference there as a you have noted, so the "it depends" really depends on what that money means to you or other elements of your system.

Yes, I very much hope to try out some head-end NAD gear coming up. I'm really keen to demo and review the M66. I think the M17 is in need of an update now though, hopefully following the M66.

I have a M33, how would feel adding a M23 for the set up? Do you think the improvement si worth the money?
@Techthusiasm11 ай бұрын
The M33 is basically an integrated amp with an M23 inside it. I can't imagine much benefit to spending that money to just move the amp external versus putting it somewhere else in your system. I'm sure the M33 itself is a fantastic all-in-one.
@felipejotz705411 ай бұрын
@@Techthusiasm I have seen some comments on people bridging M23 on M33. It will deliver 700 WPC , supposedly improving imaging, definition and separation.

The m28 is more bang for the buck compared to the m23 in terms of $ per channel. Unless that is you are just using it for 2ch stereo then go with the m23. I would suspect that both m23 and m28 sound nearly the same, at least spec wise they are basically the same except for the number of channels
@Techthusiasm11 ай бұрын
Yeah, same modules, just different packaging and power delivery. I'm using the M23 for my tw0-channel living room. The M28 amps will be for the multi-channel theater.
@charlieb19389 ай бұрын
Why would u over PAY for NAD amp when you get the same technology from Buckeyes Amp even after u had Dylan on a stream???
@Techthusiasm9 ай бұрын
Just because I had Dylan on the stream wasn't a commitment that I would buy his amps. He's a nice guy though and makes a great product that I would recommend. In the end, I wanted the more "premium" build and I wanted Purifi modules for all the channels in the theater in dual 7-channel packages, so I went with this instead.

Some of these companies need to make a public statement how to say their names, like Arendal Sound. :) So just call it NAD, not the individual letters? I'll have to retrain my brain.

No miss. This is just a two-channel amplifier, not a preamp/integrated. No need for sub outs here. Those would be on the processor you run before the M23. The NAD M33 is the integrated version of this.
