Love watching. Time lapse on these would be even more awesome to watch.

Another good one, John. Lots of breaking glass and good closeups of crunching structural steel. Looks like someone had way too much money to spend. Couldn't even be bothered to remove the fancy executive furniture in the corner office??? I was interesting how suborn those folding partition sections were holding up the beam near the end.

There was a lot of furniture left in the building -- desks, tables, chairs, cabinets. A used office furniture dealer would have loved to add it to their inventory. Or a nonprofit working on borrowed card tables could have used it. But as you say, no one wants to be bothered with the task of arranging for removal.

They did not even strip the building down before demolishing it

I worked in this building for five years, from 2007 to 2012. It felt very tired and dated even back then, and I figured its days were numbered. The elevators were constantly breaking down, the floors creaked in many places, and there were big cracks in the concrete walls of the stairwells that didn't look structurally sound. Plus the whole building was, frankly, an eyesore. My office was on the 5th floor, and now it's all probably in a landfill somewhere.

Always interesting to see how the plan for dismantling the facade works. The window units and facing panels are coming off ok here. Ive seen some that just wont let go.

This crane operator is too cautious. Very slow compared with others I have seen. Get him or her some energy drink.

Just love to see the money our government and military waste. Just years before this building was closed it under went a multi million dollar renovation. When the national defense administration moved out they left everything behind . And I mean everything including the plants, artwork, computer’s, the list can go on and on. Great job government.
