@giuseppemartin9135 Жыл бұрын
Dude you couldn't tell this comedy podcast was making a joke about the time off he took?
@colmwhateveryoulike3240 Жыл бұрын
It's funny how many people think they're smarter than those of us who can recognise the difference between totally invented jokes and a genuine reality being joked about isn't it. I wonder do they all think Bert's not really an alcoholic too because comedians could never tell jokes about it otherwise...
@giuseppemartin9135 Жыл бұрын
@Colm Whateveryoulike Not exactly. Since you know him so well I guess you are in the know that he must be ruining his life from gambling and wasn't actually on vacation at all. He must not have been able to afford one since typically someone with a gambling addiction is losing most often, and to the point where it is affecting their life, relationships, and especially their ability to save money (for vacations for example) or even have the ability to pay their bills. So yeah, unless that's him, there is a huge difference in making up a bit that clearly was missed by many including the person that made the comment we 3 all replied to, and the possibility that he may like to gamble. Bert's drinking isn't that different to this specific point though. Just because he drinks more than most of us and his friends seem to fathom being able to do ourselves, he still hasn't let that get in the way of him clearly having a very busy and successful career or being involved deeply with his family. So busting his.chops doesn't make it where alcohol is ruining his career or life. And this gambling bit/joke, whether based on the reality or not that he likes to gamble, isn't anything that requires rehab. And those trying to connect with him on a bit he is clearly in on, DID very much miss the joke on this comedy podcast.
@giuseppemartin9135 Жыл бұрын
My last comment was way longer than intended. LOL. And since KZbin shorts are under a minute I'm sure anything that takes up to a minute to read is probably too much for a lot of people. But dang it, it had to be explained to the soapbox community

I'm more surprised by all the people believing it in the comments lol.
@MaciejRC Жыл бұрын
There can be half-truth there, and they try to go to extreme and exaggerate, to release the tension and get back to business as usual. Yes, he might had some issues that he needed to address, BUT, selling your car in Vegas? Talking to Tom to his face about relapsing without flinching/so cocky and this is not being an issue? It is still a business relationship, so wouldn't believe Nadav would go so cocky and baller like about this. Yeah, he might needed time off, and was related to gambling, BUT, not that extreme and over the top.

Suicide rates from gambling addiction are higher than alcohol and drugs combined. I’m an alcoholic, I have four years sober, I spent 15 years going through five rehabs to get where I’m at today. Gambling addicts are the scary ones… they get that thousand yard stare and you’ve lost them they don’t care about anything anymore. Nadav can say he’s a company man all he wants but he didn’t go to Vegas to help the company…. Until he’s successfully completed rehab I wouldn’t trust him around money. I hope he stays in treatment, gets in a good recovery program and find a long-term support group.
