I had heard of Gracheva but never really seen her. I’m flabbergasted. This is dancing - simple as that! The technical command, the spiraling lines, the sure musical phrasing, the articulate intension... To me it is supreme storytelling, and I don’t mean acting out a plot!

BRAVO!!! BRAVISSIMO!!!! VIVA LA GRACHEVA!!! I had known this EXQUISITE Prima Ballerina only from photos, and I remember that every photo danced to me, the lines of the legs with caressing arches in the feet signaled to me how beautifully designed her body was for the rigors of ballet. Her upper body strength and control in arm positions always in astonishing texture of ballet academia. THIS is GRAND Russian ballet dancing, where every muscle mass is listening to the score and each other for the ultimate in perfection. Those photos have come alive for me, THANK YOU!! Bundu BALLERINA for bringing to the world this Jewel ballerina, an artist that commands respect and standing ovations. ALL EARNED. The stunning Goddess presence in this Jardin Animee is volcanic, and gorgeous, one of the few greatest I ever saw. DIVINA.

It starts with Esmeralda variation. Then it moves to Le Corsaire. She is incredible in the death of Nikiya (Bayadere), makes you wonder if her spinal column is made of rubber. Thank you, TheBunduBallerina for your wonderful posts.
