Well if the head of ethics at No10 didn't know she was at an illegal party, why should we expect the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to know how Channel 4 is funded. You really can't make this stuff up, anywhere else they would be sacked for incompetence, obviously the bar is very low in government.

I know why they want to get this done: They need a Fox News type TV Chanel , and with the right private “ Owner” in charge, the 2024 elections, will be in the bag. Nice move guys… Do not underestimate😂😂😂

Yup they looked at what Orban did in Hungary and thought - this is a great idea.

Exactly. Asset strip an institution and get Murdoch to pump his sewage through our screens.

They tried that with GB news and failed miserably. So now they're trying to force people to have no choice that it's broadcast through terrestrial TV.
@stephanieking44442 жыл бұрын
That is obvious. They mean to sell it to something like Mercer or Murdoch.

What on earth does woman do for her ministerial salary? It is staggering that she can sell of a public service broadcaster without the most basic understanding of how it works. Why wasn't this appearance and performance a major scandal? I arrived here from a link in today's Guardian, as I expect many others did.

I think it is perfectly reasonable for us to evaluate whether or not the tax payer is receiving value for money from this excuse of an MP, whose role is being funded through tax layers money.

Wheel in Jacob Rees Mogg who will explain that, although she has shown herself up as an incompetent, with no understanding of the subject that is being discussed, that she is actually correct and everyone else is to thick to see it. How did so many chancers get appointed to cabinet during the same period of government? Of course!! The PM doesn't want anyone cleverer than himself in his cabinet.
