As an additional advice, I always list the things I need/want before purchasing anything. I won't buy something I just have seen without letting time pass. Most of the time, I don't buy everything I list 😂

Being a KPOP Fan is such an expensive lifestyle. We can support our idols naman ng walang ginagastos and that’s what i am doing right now! Im in merch ban and yeah im supporting my idols parin naman by streaming their mvs and songs. And i think that’s okay! ( and yeah been eyeing to your koya plushie :) )

Finally someone I can relate to. This has been my struggle last year too and totoo, sobrang nakaka-pressure lalo na kapag nakakakita or nakakapanood ka ng unboxings or just a photo of someone else's shelf/collection. What I've been doing this year to get rid of being budol(ed) 😂 is that I stopped following accounts of some collectors, minimized watching unboxings and turned off the notifs from twitter sellers... so far it's been helping me a lot. Fightiiiiing, girlyyyy! Let's be unbudolable this year 😊 Ps. I can't stop looking din kay Koya 🙃
@RiriDris3 жыл бұрын
@@moonglow7313 hahahahhaha what i did naman is I sell na! at least nahahawakan ko din yung mga merch. Masakit i let go, pero okay na rin at least hindi na ako yung nabubudol ahhahaha Pero huyyy iniiwasan ko din talaga manuod ng shelf/collection tour! ayoko kasi ipressure sarili ko hahaha

thank you for talking about this! I feel like in our country it's just on beginnings on areas on overconsumption and not much people are talking about this in the mainstream media. Many people must be struggling with this and it's somewhat accepted and normal nowadays. It's really important to start conversations about this and raise awareness about overconsumption before it goes overboard
@mychamomiledays3 жыл бұрын
This is why I like you! This is the kind of content I wish more people would talk about. 2020 made me realize a lot of things and one of them is smarter buying decisions. While it's interesting to watch hauls and reviews, I really try my best to buy only the things I need and really really really want. One factor that helped me I guess is because I have a small room and I share it with my sister. Plus working from home too. I require a clean visual space to function at my best.

I love this topic! It such a smart move to talk about this. And yes, i am really guilty with “online shopping as a coping mechanism”, the pandemic had brought so much stress I didn’t imagine i could have, and shopping online gives me that certain happiness and escape for a short time. ☹️ Will definitely try to minimize this overconsumption, thanks for this Nadine! I missed your videos tho, hopefully more videos to come ✨

Love this content 💖💖💖💖 MUST BE SAID. budol culture is prevalent but toxic too! Super relate that 2020 was my peak gullible phase bec online shopping was my coping mechanism. But even after purchasing, it never really gave me the satisfaction I expected it to give me... I guess I finally reached that point where I’m numb to sales, influencer culture, etc. unless I really need a product. Curating the accounts you follow also helps! So yes, listing down what you need, knowing WHY (!!!!) you’re buying it, where you’ll store it or how you’re going to store it, and maintaining a budget (and where you’re getting the money) make a wise customer!

Yaaaaas! It's soooo easy for us to spend especially that everything is so convenient now but at the same time, let's not forget that it's also extra hard to earn. Definitely, a good reminder to spend wisely! 🤗

tbh i was one of the people who used to buy from every sale (3.3, 11.11, etc.) and get sad pag walang nabili but huhu luckily i changed and i started planning my purchases. i now buy things that i only need (and occasionally want hehe) lalo ngayon na money is hard to earn/find. i also developed the “10-minute habit” idk what else to call it hahahaha but basically, whenever i see something i want to buy, i think about it for 10 minutes before buying it. i take into consideration if i still get to use it next month or even next week. anyways, this was such a nice video and i hope everyone gets something from it 😭💞 love you ate nadine!! ♡

aaa i needed this so much! tbh, I started following popular influencers who posts shopee/lazada finds on their ig story EVERY SINGLE DAY HUHU and it really helped me not check out items haha the key is to be aware of urself :)

Sakto this is the topic my friend and i were talking the other day. What are the budol purchases we had and was it really a need or want. I always remember the quote "if you buy something on sale and you dont actually need it you didnt actually saved money". And i always pay myself first by savings cos im saving up for my emergency funds and any excess i have thats what i can use to buy stuff i want. Also im practicing minimalism in terms of clothing, since i work in the office i made my own uniform by using 2 black, 2 grays and 1 white shirt.

So timely to post this during a big big sale!! Hahahahha Alsooo, I'd like to add that we all need to be good friends and stop making unnecessary "budols"! As someone who easily gets swayed by the posts of ~influencers~ I need this reminder 😂 But kudos to these people kasi they are so effective with making you purchase something even if you don't really need it? 😭 But I really hope more ~influencers~ will talk about this budol thingy and how it can affect us in the long run (wastes ending up in our landfills). Let's consume responsibly!! Thank you for this ate Nadine 🤍 Edit: additional tots, I learned this thing when you think of buying something, let yourself wait for like 3-4 weeks and if you still long for that thing then you must buy it but if you don't, then it's a sign na you don't need it hahaha
