It should be applicable not only in police department but in all the departments.so that selection free and fair and recruiting right and deserving candidates through proper channel can be benefited in every departmental work as well.Unfit and undeserving people sitting in offices without even knowing their designated work is a huge loss for our society. Regarding backdoor appointees who are overaged, while it may be inappropriate, their circumstances reflect the norm of a bygone era, and considering their adaptation might be a prudent approach. That's my humble opinion.

Nagaland is the most underdeveloped and unproductive state in India. Employment beyond staffing pattern. Construction and procurement beyond requirement. The excess appointment is carry over from predecessors. The concerned Minister, the HoD making appointments. The excess appointment came to lighta decade ago.But no action taken against the erring person. The best way to clean up is the people appointed through illigal means should be allowed to face the recruitment board so as to streamline.
