The troopers tried to stop them but in the dark the civilians thought that militants were going to kidnap them and they accelerated. For which with substantive Intel with PARA SF that militants were spotted nearby the same route of incident. They mistook that vehicle as of militants even when they called out for halt but they also in fear drove faster. For which the trooper opens fire and the whole squad follows. As human instinct prevails when one makes up a mistake the same goes through them and they try to close the matter by taking them and disguising them as militants. This led to the catastrophic incident and villagers rushed to the scene on hearing the gunshots to help the soldiers instead they found out that their kin and family were there for which one member sees the face of his kin. The villagers came out with weapons to capture the soldiers and wanted them to stay to take responsibility for what they did but one the members attacked one of the soldiers and the soldiers open fired in response injuring many more of them.

My father was also in the Army and he had seen many incidents while in NE and he used to tell me how patriotic NE people are even when most of the development work is concentrated till Assam region due AFSPA. He used to talk about many of the incidents and horrors faced in common life there also about Militancy that it's rising day by day because of ISI. Don't worry AFSPA will be removed from many regions as the region stabilises and militants put their weapons down. In my village which is in north side arunachal where arunachal is the least active insurgency, long before a village member was hang naked to tree with bullet holes in front of chest while he accidentally pass to Indian military camp while searching for wild vegetables. American British rule Naga and before they left Nagaland they gave Naga independence That's why we celebrate 14 August Naga independence days but the Mainland Indian army captured Nagaland. 😂 I am from senapati and we are more poor than Nagaland Naga's it's only the main road which goes to Imphal is developed and every other road is dirt road even the local ground. We have only one good hospital in Senapati and filled with Miyas and Nepalese who owns most businesses. This might be disappointing but u have to understand that there was a misunderstanding that led to this. As the above main comment the person stated without facts and reason it simply portrays that he is not conclusive but impulsive and emotional rather than being rational. From far what I observed the incident and heard with connectivity with the case. Just like last year I stated some facts and now I share what I've got as I related some dots likewise of hiding, resistance with hands before open fire, talks of Major repeatedly apologizing in front of civilians and to calm down, hiding the faces of death, clothing of militants put on death, other two put inside without face covered, time spent there for some 12 min. before civilians arrived. 1,2,3,5&6 shows the sign of mistakes and acts to handle or cover the situation. They don't want to kill him. 4th & 5th obstructs and nullifies the point of justification it was a mistake. Clothing? Where did they get them? Weren't they aware that they were near the village? It took 12 and a half min. for villagers to arrive. Was the base that near that they brought the clothes in and stayed? Didn't they think that they would be attacked? SF came in 3 SUVs and the 4th vehicle went missing? How? Last but not the least but the loading of their civilians could possibly take 3 or 4 min. they could've gone by then, loading 6 men is easy with a squad, why didn't they leave? Many more to go or raise but we as a comment posters must follow a decorum of protest and be asking questions rather than being emotional and be going to grind that Nagas are considered 2nd class citizens. It's not and has never happened though but what I see is that people in the comments are commenting impulsively rather than objectively. That's why some people gain momentum in their agenda of fake narrative and false ideology. The victims suffer all the pain and are obstructed from getting justice and the squad itself should apologise if it costs their life if they have any guilt of their mistake they should apologise to the victims families.

​​@@joker6544 we don't see you as foreigners you have more rights and you don't even pay income tax on top of that you get tax devolution from center you have ilp which prevents us from coming there you can live in main land for free and there are many cases where mainland people were killed by insurgents or threaten to not do any business in northeast. The problem is more in north east not here.
