Its really amazing how the countries that lost the second world war rose up peacefully to end up being the best countries in the world. Germany dominates the EU finacially and Japan is here in the west the most well known and respected country. I can't speak for asians if its the same as Germany, but it seems that way.

Yeah but let’s remember it’s the leaders of a country that gets them involved in wars and such and not the citizens themselves usually. Just cuz the leaders of that time were cracked out extreme it didn’t necessarily reflect the ideals of the country as a whole 😅.

I visited Nagasaki on a high school school trip. Although not introduced in the video, the event called "Seirei Nagashi" is also lively, unlike the image of Masashi Sada's song. Personally, I feel that Nagasaki is similar to San Francisco. There are many slopes and foreign cultures can be seen. .. ..

What happened to Nagasaki and Hiroshima was horrific. I'm glad that the Japanese people rose above this tragedy and are willing to spread peace around the world. Sincerely, an American.
@lucascollins48132 жыл бұрын
I always say, as an American, that if any other country had done that attack, we would declare it to be a war crime. Those bombings were certainly a war crime, and a reminder that the second World War was not as black/white or good vs evil as people think. Atrocities were commited by every nation involved. When I travel to Japan (after I knock a few other countries off the bucket list) I fully intend to pay my respects at the memorials in both Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

No....if you gamble...you should be willing to pay the price when you lose. What happened in Nagasaki and Hiroshima is honestly not enough of a pay back

@@erictang7213 ... Or maybe it's just all propaganda and nothing happened. Well except for a few tons of your average every day tnt being dropped, but nothing involving what they call atomic or nuclear, as that would have destroyed that city and kept it uninhabitable for millennia. What your gov. tells you, ain't always the truth.

Yes, a shame, no mention of Glover Gardens or the Dutch Trading Post at Djema, also very interesting. Could have included the Shrine to the Christian Martyrs. Nagasaki isnt one of Japan's most beautiful cities, but it is certainly one of its most interesting. It's also very easy for visitors to get around, with an easy to use tram system.

“Japan was already defeated and that dropping the bomb was completely unnecessary.” General Dwight Eisenhower. Remember that it was the Soviets that entered the pacific war that forced japan’s surrender, not the untied states. United States set the standard for the world to obtain nuclear weapons, thus setting for the Cold War.
