I don't think this is a betrayal...I think Nagi expects Reo to be fine by himself and Nagi just awakened this passion for soccer that he didn't know he had as well as understand Isagi and his abilities so that one day he can defeat him, since the entirety of bluelock is winner(one winner) take all. Eventually they'd have to depend only on themselves, because it's only going to come down to one person. I feel like Isagi likes Bachira the best, because he understands him as a friend, a soccer player, and that he wants to defeat him the most(this is just an opinion, I don't know who else they'll be against in future). Reo depends on Nagi a lot, and in way it's unhealthy, because to me it still seems like Reo thinks of Nagi as a possession rather than a friend. And now that he's gone, he's pouty and about to get insecure, Nagi shouldn't have to be his friend's safety blanket.

It looks like a betrayal. But Reo pushed Nagi to go to that event to become the very best together, and Reo expects Nagi to become his tail just because they are friends. If Reo was not so selfish he would has a different attitude, similar to Isagi when he lost Bachira. Instead of that, Reo just forgets the reason for them to be there, or maybe he was just USING Nagi for his own benefit?. I think that event was very important for Reo to realize later that Nagi is a worthy friend and not just some subordinate, and for Nagi to appreciate himself and find joy in life with soccer. In other words, Reo not understanding the feelings of Nagi just proves that he does not see him as a friend completely, Nagi expected Reo to understand him, anyways "Reo is too good too so we will meet later", but instead he finds that Reo despised the autonomy of Nagi, that does not seem something a friend will feel, but a boss.
