Wow...the glitching...this will freak you out but I saw an interview with his drummer Chris Layton, and bassist Tommy Shannon. There was a short segment titled "Stevie and Electricity". Layton said he thought Stevie had a strange effect on electrical current because he would get shocked from a mic that others touched without a problem, or would blow equipment with no apparent cause. It happened very often. When you said maybe his energy/spirit was causing the glitching, that's what I was thinking!

He was deeply involved in new age spirituality and Conjure. There are pics of mojo bags he made for Stevie Wonder among many others. He dreamed of his own death the night before he died. Told folks he was at his own funeral. Told ppl after he got clean off drugs and alcohol, he was on borrowed time. He KNEW he wasn't going to grow old. Said he gave his best everytime because he never knew if it was his last. Also, as an aside, he's been back on this side of the Veil for about 2 years. Many people have seen or dreamed of him including Carlos Santana. I have my own experiences but that's not for public consumption. So yeah...

RIP to the greatest ever SRV. I was fortunate enough to catch him playing in the Austin club scene then when Texas flood broke out and then a month before he died touring with Eric Clapton, he was as Good as it gets the only guitar player that had the endorsement of all the blues players that were alive during his time, Jimi Hendrix didn't have that endorsement only Stevie Ray.

🙌👏👏🙌💯great reaction! Yes you are right💯 he was something different the likes of which simply not seen. His rich musical legacy is something I promise you will enjoy discovering. The depth and breadth of his connection to music was other worldly and magical. He never played the same song the same way ever. It was totally dependent of the moment and where the music led him. I think that keeps his music fresh and interesting no matter how many times you hear it. And yes, his spirit is strong🌟💫✨⚡️⭐️🌟💯 and there so many stories that attest to that. He still moves among us and transfixs our souls💫. I am subbing for more Stevie Ray🎶🎸💙.

Thanks for creating these fantastic reactions. Led Zep and SRV reactions from you this past week or so🔥🔥🔥… My two ol’ time favorite bands and so enjoyable watching you discover these awesome and timeless tunes. Highly recommend SRV performing Life Without You, (live at Capital Theater). You can really see what an incredibly down to earth and humble man he was as he speaks for just a moment…If more people today could take heed to those few words spoken all those years ago….oh what a peaceful planet we’d have. A top master of guitar blues that humbly played with many old old school blues masters. Always loved and most certainly never forgotten. We love you SRV. ✌🏼❤️

SRV ~ 🎸🐐 THE goat of all goats Pronounced 'von' Stevie was so much more than an incredible talent. He was as equally humble and kind as he was a 'guitar god'. What he did for Blues has been likened to what Jordan did for basketball, as recently quoted by Blues Legend Buddy Guy. In fact, he was adored by the Blues greats...BB King, Albert King, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, John Lee Hooker, Hubert Sumlin, etc, etc. When Stevie was killed, the elder bluesmen cancelled shows due to their pain and grief of his passing. Yes, he was absolutely different, as you noted. A special talent and a gift from the heavens. He is sorely missed by his fan base. **Life Without You at Capitol Theater **

I like the way you thought about it - that he passed far too early and yet he accomplished so much in that short amount of time. If I recall correctly you said you were 29. Can you imagine dying 7 years from now? Wow. I feel the same about Elvis presley. He influenced so many people during his relatively short time span. But on the other hand I actually like classical music in my favorite one from that is this dude named Chopin who I believe was polish. And he's from the Romantic Era which is just a little bit later than like Beethoven and Mozart and that kind of thing. He died early too. I think he was like 41 and he died of tuberculosis or something like that. And yet this guy put out prolifically endless stuff Symphonies and piano compositions of all sorts and just mind blowing stuff mind-blowing. And then you have the black man Scott Joplin at the turn of the century over here in America and they called him the American Chopin because while he pretty much put Ragtime and the music of slavery on the map for a larger audience to access, he was incredibly gifted and yet he didn't live to be all that old and he died penniless. Never knowing how much impact he would have on future generations. What a strange world we live in.
