You put into words my sentiments about these Marines. First, they are Marines. Second, they are also world-class musicians, performing a new cultural classic based on a famous movie. Blew my mind. Oh, and let's march around in precision moves and not lose our sheet music in the high wind. 💂♀💂♂🎶🎺🌬

I have visited Horse Guards Parade a number of times including in June 1991 a short period of time after my GCSE exams. While I was in London I was walking past where Horse Guards Parade is and I saw a couple of Royal Marines sat at a desk close to Horse Guards Parade so I talked to a couple of policemen and they sent us to talk to a couple of Royal Marines who sold me and my dad tickets for the yearly Beating The Retreat which features The Royal Marines marching band. What I have put here isn’t exactly my best as I’m currently suffering with memory loss.

The whole band is just fantastic, they have several other songs they cover. And I love the leopard pelts like some roman officers or flag-bearers used

To be eligible to go for an interview for the Royal Marine's Band you have to be able to play 2 instruments and be able to prove that you can compose music. You attend a week long 'interview' where you are tested on your musical knowledge, your skills and so on. If you get through that you will be invited to join the next course. The course lasts for 3 years of military skills, marching and music. In combat the Royal Marines Band takes on NBC duties and Medical.

Thank you for not stopping the video every 30 seconds. 😊 I have a suggestion for you: If you haven't reacted to him yet, please check out Dan Vasc, a metal singer from Brazil, and his Amazing Grace! It's epic!

Good reaction - as in speechless and just watching! I wish more would do the same with them where possible! By the way, although also having to pass the typical training just to become a Royal Marine in the first place - as in basic training and weapon training, just in case they may need to use one. Their usual duties when not in the band would consist of becoming medics, drivers, and such . . . Choosing to become a bands person can take them up to 3 years, and they must also learn to play at least 2 instruments to a very high professional level indeed - including singing if chosen, (and then comes the marching in sync with their own, or when in the full massed band, too!) - They are also known to be the best military band in the UK - if not the world . .. (They have been in military band contests with other countries.- "Battle of the Bands" . . .) Why? It's basically because when they are playing massed together they have their amazing large front drumline unlike many other bands do (even in our other military bands here) . . . Cheers from the UK, m8.

I think it’s time not only on this channel but on all channels that viewers get to see more of the video being played and less of the person introducing it, most channels show two thirds of the screen taken up by the person introducing the video and the other third of the video itself. Let’s have more emphasis on the video and less on the person introducing it.

They have to because of KZbin rules. If they don't give so much commentary KZbin can de-monetise them or remove the video

@@jomet80 So they have to make the video small, that I don’t understand as some presenters have the video open full to cover my iPad screen with only the presenters face showing small in a corner. As it is a lot of the times the presenter is showing the complete room which is taking up most of the viewing area which I don’t think viewers are interested in
