I visited Taiwan in 2016 and Taroko Gorge, in my opinion, was the best place I went to. We hired a very friendly taxi driver who took us there and back to Hualien.

去太魯閣旅遊,如果天氣不錯,最好是租輛機車,這樣可以省掉不少步行和等車的時間,而且可以更深入其他的景點!建議您們如果還在花蓮,可以再二遊太魯閣,一定還有更多值得您们回味的感受,長春祠,綠楊步道，天祥，文山溫泉，還有錐鹿古道。都是值得一遊的地方！

台灣有分一般市內公車／遠程客運／觀光巴士，你們搭的是台灣好行，拿的是一日券，屬於觀光巴士，所以就不適用其他公車，"台灣好行"是一小時一輛車，所以假設在該景點下車是10:20，下一班車的時間就會是11:20/12:20/13:20....，所以提前5~10分鐘回到站牌等車即可，但一日券起碼要玩三個景點以上，票價才划算

Do you ever consider to go to Hehuan Mountain? There are >100 mountains over 3000 meters in Taiwan. It’s gorgeous up there. It could be an once in a life time experience.

That's why there are so many scooter here, taking bus is not so convenient. This is a small part of Taroko Gorge, suggesting you to rent scooter to visit again. There're many hiking trail are so beautiful. Besides, river tracing/catching river shrimp in the evening/whale watching tour are also recommended!

Glad that you guys reach Taroko. Every time when I was there, I feel I am like a fish because all those huge rocks, gorge used to be undersea. And if you guys still have time, there is another way to visit further Taroko is renting motorcycle. The trail from the bus stop to a bit higher place called Tian Xian are also super nice. Riding motorcycles could be less hot and also more flexible. Bon Voyage!

台灣旅遊規劃環境真的有待改善，他們今天最後去太魯閣完等公車等了很久，旁邊也沒有椅子什麼的，上次去墾丁也是，公車一直錯過，標示也沒有英文。自己去花東或南部玩也是這樣覺得。台灣一直覺得外國人不來台灣是因為不知道台灣什麼的，就一直行銷行銷，殊不知自己有很多問題都還沒處理好，景點規劃、路線、城市美感、行人路權....。來過一次就不會想再來了。反觀日本，人家做的怎樣，台灣人也一直往日本跑去玩，自己國家問題怎樣也都知道，從出生到現在20幾年了，台灣各個旅遊景點環境還是跟以前一樣，似乎只有台北有進步。不如趁現在疫情沒人來好好改善環境，不要一直在那邊該外國人幹嘛不來台灣...台灣應該選個建築師或工程師當行政院長..

非常非常同意，去年也帶了兩位比利時友人環台大概半個月，自然風光真的令他們印象深刻，但城市市容方面真的令人汗顏，從飯店望下去只看的到滿滿鐵皮加蓋，甚至古都台南都是這樣完全失去整體的風采，人行道也只有大城市某些精華地段規畫還算完整，但橫直撞的交通還真的讓他們嚇一大跳

建議拜訪: 臺灣南投的杉林溪森林遊樂園區和溪頭自然教育園區一定要去走走看看，享受一下杉林的自然風貌，民宿可以找溪頭園區附近，走路就可以進去，晚上逛妖怪村，第二天再坐車進去杉林溪，安排三或四天當地旅遊會更加放鬆和享受，周邊還有鹿谷茶園、溪流、竹林、鹿谷內湖國小(古意盎然)……更多的景點，絕對不虛此行，永生難忘，平日是最佳的訂房時間，因為平常日的住宿會比假日更加的便宜。 深入旅遊最好是一個景點各安排一天會更好。 祝 旅遊愉悅。

I have ever rent a scooter to go round Taroko park. That's amazing experience to enjoy the breeze & view. There's a lot spots you can come back to visit next time. Wenshan hot spring is a wild spring next to Liwu river. You can enjoy the cold & hot water interchangeably. Another spot I memorized is Baiyang Waterfall, you must go through a secret tunnel to get therer. I guess you are in Yilan right now. I highly recommend to go to Lotung Sports park, Taiping Mountain National Forest, Linmei Shipan Trail, and Wushi Port (for surfing).

建議:最好安排一天進入景點，還有茶水、點心和食物要準備帶在身上，因為山區和鄉下不容易找到吃的東西，免得肚子餓影響旅遊興致與舟車勞頓，車程往返會浪費很多時間，就沒有辦法盡情享受和深入旅遊。 如果選擇坐車的話，先看好最後一班車的時間表，心理有個準備，可以控制時間才不會緊張錯過末班車，當然走路進入景點需要花費很多時間，但也可以更加享受和放鬆。 祝 旅遊愉快。

If you like to climb the mountain, you can try the northern peak of Hehuan Mountain, it is one of the three thousand meters high peak, the altitude is very high so it is very cool, the scenery is vast and beautiful

Strongly recommend you to rent a scooter, and explore Hualian more just like what you did in Kenting. There are so much to see around there. That will save you a lot of time too. And that is not expensive as well. Good luck to you guys. Have a great time.

you guys should stay in Hualien for a few weeks, best if you could spend a few days and nights at Taroko! accommodation may not be cheap, but definitely worth the money! also, you guys definitely should go back and try a few hiking trails at Taroko! there's even a site that if you use Panorama mode on your camera to take the overhead sky, a map of Taiwan would appear formed by the scenery!

I wonder if you will cross the Central Transit Highway through the high mountains to the west coast of Taiwan. It is from Hualien to Taichung. This highway is beautiful and you can hiking in many trails in the mountains. Qingjing farm is called the little Swiss in Taiwan and I think it is worth a visit in this highway.

Michael Corleone 其實到台灣看看歐風的景觀應該也很有趣，清境主要也是橫越中央山脈的中繼休息站，可到諸如合歡群峰的高山小徑走走，而且清境景觀雖類似阿爾卑斯山但氛圍還是很不同的，更有雲南美食特色及各類特產，下到南投更可順道遊走日月潭及車埕水里ㄧ帶！唯一擔心的是清境住宿不便宜而且可能人潮洶湧，還有天候因素影響很大！至於要走中橫到台灣中部還是選擇蘇花公路往台灣北部都是不錯的路線，這就看Naick & Kim的選則了！

Jack Lin 中橫不錯呀，我唯一擔心的是交通工具。 若是坐公車，實在好像無法自由地上、下車，拍想拍的風景。 清境過一晚當然也很值得，特別是在這個大熱天，呵呵。 希望有清境的民宿可以業配一下，不過現在是peak season，有點兒難。

推薦溯溪(white water rafting)，小時候在花蓮秀姑巒溪下游玩過一次，很有趣。但，溯溪最好要穿長褲與長袖上衣，因為防曬霜會被水沖掉。如果只穿短褲，等一兩小時的行程結束後，人也曬傷了。購買溯溪行程，要找當地旅行社。

應該騎摩托車去，停車方便，可以看到更多的地方，甚至進入步道，很多秘境都在步道裡面。如果有時間可以騎到台灣最高的公路（武嶺），台灣的高山真的可以嘗試一下。

外國人租車不像台灣人那樣太方便。但台灣郊區和景點公車好像真的比較難搭，不知是公路局、縣政府、還是觀光局教通部或其他單位再優化或整合資源，特別是針對外國遊客方面的使用說明。

花蓮車站的租車行有國際駕照都可以租車 還有機車與電動車可租 建議找評價好的 附近有蠻黑的租車行

瑪爾濟斯頭獎妹 對啊。其實開車最方便，但太魯閣路況就都在很灣的山區路窄又有落石，我不熟路和語言又是外國人的話，租車不會是我的首選。

台灣的巴士路線 真的很難搞懂!! 您也只有去到太魯閣的10分之1不到 太魯閣還有很多美景

Taiwan bus is really complicated. Maybe you can use app [bus+] it's easy to know bus time/bus line/bus route and have English menu. And 台灣好行 ticket can't used in normal bus line, I think [悠遊卡easy card ] is more convence used. As long as the bus destination is the same, you can get every bus by using [悠遊卡easy card]. [悠遊卡easy card] can buy and charge in 7-11/family mart ....etc. And when you leave Taiwan, you can go to Taipei or Taoyuan airport MRT station get refund. Sorry my English isn't good enough... hope it will be helpful to you.😀

Thank you SunMi! Yes it seems we have problems with the buses in Taiwan haha. We managed to travel for 1.5 year and visited 18+ countries but somehow we don't get along well with the pubic transport in Taiwan.
