I like my classy nails and more fun sparkly nails. Life is too short to limit myself, I just keep a good mix of both to fit my mood. Saves me from decluttering my polish, then going out and buying the same stuff I just decluttered.

This has come at the perfect time for me. I need to do this badly. I just bought a 60 polish rack and want it to contain my whole collection. At present it just contains my spring/summer picks which are about 25% of my total. Just selecting my faves to put in the rack was a good lesson in what I want to wear. Now for the brave bit - thank you so much for your motivation!

Doreen Schumacher seche restore..supposed to be used for seche vite top coat though not nail polish..you can get nail polish thinner at Sally's beauty supply or probably any beauty supply store near you. 😊

I like the way how companies still get away with calling nail polishes 'nude' when there a no brown polishes at all.

It's that way with everything for some crazy reason. I have the opposite problem. "Nude" polish is too dark for my skin and looks really weird on me. Nude lipstick is too light because my lips are so pink. Calling anything "nude" is a really strange idea since that tone actually matches so few people.

in my personal opinion the word "nude" refers to any and every skin tone in existence. so you have pale nudes and tan nudes dark nudes just whatever. unfortunately many companies just think it means pale.

Lily Bailey I said in my previous comment that makeup companies think nude only means pale. so I thought that addressed it? to be more clear- in my personal opinion nude means any and all skin tones. however society is racist so therefore companies have made nude to mean white. clearly I think it's nonsense and brown can be nude too, and it's sad that companies aren't inclusive.

I did the same thing with my nail polish collection. I let my family and friends pick out any of the ones they wanted from the ones I no longer wanted but I still have the remaining because I don't know how to discard them... I think you can bring them to a hazardous waste collection facility or something but I've never gotten around to doing that :P

I will never ever compare polishes just by seeing it without swatching it again. Most polishes don't always give you the same look on your nails. I must destash my polish collection

Nail polish definitely goes bad eventually. Sure you can thin it out but at a certain point it just starts smelling god awful (like, way worse than nail polish normally smells) and that it when there is nothing to do but toss it.
