Super informative ❤❤❤. Recently started doing my nails at home and I love it. I can't afford salon manicures and I also can't stand sitting still for an hour to 2 hours. I have bad adhd. So doing my nails myself is like a arts and craft. But my job requires hard nails because it's very physical and I break them easily. I tried dip. I tried nail strips. Gel has been the best. And I hope to get better. Currently my gel mani is almond nails with a nude pink topped with an aurora irradescent pink with cute and funny cat stickers. The ones without stickers just have gold squiggly lines.

That’s not really necessary and you’d probably end up with more of a mess. Just work on the application and if you accidentally touch the skin, remove it right away. If it’s cured, use a thin efile bit to remove it to prevent lifting 👌🏻

@mariae9979 Жыл бұрын
If I’m not mistaken. A slip layer is a coat of builder gel you put on the whole nail bed or nail bed with tip. You do this step first. Then apply your builder gel bead and the slip layer will help guide it through. I mean you still have to work it down the nail but it helps tremendously to help it flow.

Do you add a clear base coat before the slip and structured gel and do you cure each nail after applying the structured gel?

@@NailsByKatieDutra I tried your tip from the video again last night and it came out a lot better it's just I can only do 2 layers before having to cure it and do it again. The product I use is Aliver 5 in one builder gel, I think I just need practice I have wider and slightly flatter nail beds than yours. The other down side is it doesn't last long and starts coming up even when I filed, used a primer/dehydrater and base coast. All different combinations so I'll have to find a decent base and maybe top coat I believe. 😩 But thank you so much for trying to be helpful the video definitely was! 💜🤗

by 2 layers do you mean 2 nails at a time? because I only do one a time 😄 you won't be able to do all the nails at once when using a self-leveling gel, otherwise you will definitely have cuticle flooding. I work back and forth doing one nail at a time. 😄
