You're too funny. I'm glad I've slowed the playback speed 🤗. I'm yelling, get some Acetone & poor it on the desk, LOL. And, use a scraper that you use for putty or patches to scrape. You need to know how to do things! No Holidays basically for me. And, the early start is depressing for a lot of people. Hoping you enjoy & would love to see all your decorations. I love when you have done testing of products video. A top coat one would be good I have learned that often but not always more expensive products do save money in the long run. Instead of wasting money on something that ends up in the trash. Things I struggle with is good black and white gel polish And a good matte top coat As well as gem adhesive . I need to just give in and get the Zulay that you swear by. 😄 I just worry I won’t be fast enough for that glue.

Why would you prime a nail tip? Primer is for a neutral nail, to dehydrate a natural nail as well as, ensure it has the right ph balance. 😊

@@catpride1323 Thank you, I thought primer would help the gel adhere to the nail better than if i just use base coat alone..However, after experimenting....I have just used primer, when my base coat finished, and primer held the gel on perfectly, no lifting at all!!!🥳

@@Tanyaarmstrong Are we talking on a tip or the natural nail? If your base coat is not adhering to the tip, then there is an issue, and its most likely your prep. You need to make sure you etch the tip really well. I think part of the problem is we tend to use the word, buff. We say to buff the entire nail 1st. Then people use to fine of a grit of a nail file, so your tip ends up being to smooth. Gel doesn't like a smooth nail, gel needs scratches to hold onto. So really we should be saying etch more often, you need to put scratches into the nail plate or the nail tip, prior to any product application. Now, there is no reason to use primer on a tip, if you have etched it properly, its a waste of product. Some people do what they call a chemical prep, or chemical etching, and instead of actually etching the nail with a nail file, they put a coat of primer on the nail tip, and its supposed to chemically etch it for you. You see it mostly used on the underside of the nail tip, prior to gluing the tip on. Personally, I don't know if it works or how well it works, I would never trust it, it is not gonna be better than filing that tip. So if its not gonna be better, than there is no reason for me to try it. If your applying it to the top of your nail tips, prior to applying your base coat, and your base coat is now adhering better, than it did before - this means, you were not etching your tips good enough before. Basecoat is a bonding gel, a two way sticky tape. It bonds to the tip, and to the layers of gel put ontop of it. If it wasn't properly bonding to your tip, your prep wasn't good enough. A 180 grit file or a medium sanding band, should be the lightest you use to etch the tips, anything higher, is too smooth... Hope that helps 😊
