Juliet Edwards-Lewis I was diagnosed with cancer in April and I too have decided to learn nail art. I don’t know yet if I’ll go to nail school as I am 63 and retired but I’ve learned enough thru videos that I have started doing my own acrylics. God bless and good luck to you.

Juliet Edwards-Lewis me too 👍🏽💞💖 good luck 😬 and congrats. I’m 74 😘 age is a only a number after what we’ve conquered lol I had breast cancer in 2016. And pleomorphic liposarcoma in my ankle stage 4 on Achilles’ tendon in April 2018 just got over the 2nd skin graft and 6 weeks on bed rest. And walked for the first time at Christmas.

Congratulations!!!!!!! I fighting stage 3 cancer right now. I do nails for the fun of it. You will love it as long as you have fun with it. I love to create a design between the layers of acrylic. I pray you stay cancer free and you learn and enjoy doing nails. I order alot of stones and different items for nail in the wish app. I ordered my still from there it is amazing and i don't have to pay alot for things I need. I am self taught and i learn alot from videos. I love the way she explains every step that she does and explains the do's and don'ts of each different nail form that she creates. Blessings and prayers.

Seven minutes! You used seven minutes applying the acrylic. Even for a one-bead set, that's insane! Heck, I use seven minutes just to get one single good bead. I doubt many can beat your time and still have the same quality before any filing.

I'm one of those who cannot show appreciation enough to all of you who take the time out of your day to contribute in captioning Kirsty's videos. You all are my ears, and it's an absolute lifesaver! Big hugs to all of you! The auto captioning is horrible on KZbin. I say that with all kindness because KZbin as a company can't listen and caption every uploaded video as there are way too many. That's why I love Kirsty's videos so much. I don't have to worry about what I'm reading. I applaud Kirsty for using contributors to caption the videos correctly. You, my dear Kirsty, have a subscriber for life because you do awesome nails, and you care about those of us who need help in understanding the spoken word! I wish others would follow your example.

I believe knowing that you are being timed is why it's taking so long for you. You should have someone time you for a full set of tips randomly then give you the results. Over here in US it is standard to allow one hour for full set tips which is about 45 min with clean up time to prep for next client.

You make it look so easy lol. How long does it take for Kirsty to do exactly this when shes not necessarily rushing? Including prep. Cos I take about 1hr15-30 and my manager (who isnt a nail tech) keeps telling me I need to get it done in 40 mins including gel polish which is so stressful. I have definitely taken note of how long it took Kirsty to do each part so i can work towards that. Thanks so much for this video. Also please can you do a video on prepping nails which need quite a bit of cuticle work like very overgrown etc x

@kelseymorine-reid58637 жыл бұрын
Aileen Aponte the gel is too thick. It's better to do two smaller layers. With that much product the reaction to the light it going to fast. It's a bunch of atoms linking together super fast. With the product too thick the reaction is more because there more product. I know I'm rambling now. It's almost 2am here. Lol. So I hope you understand a bit more:)

Smh! Your comment wasn't nice at all... Yeah a regular full set with one gel polish color I can do it in 30-45 minutes. I have clients that are willing to sit down for 2:30 hrs because they love how I work. I'm a perfectionist and good art job with different designs in each nail takes time to elaborate...
