You really are a great teacher. I am doing an on-line course with videos but they don't tell you the really useful practical stuff that you include. I buy a lot of my products for my training from Naio Nails: I have tried others as well and so far Naio Nails products have proved to the easiest to work with. Please keep these videos coming!

Jenny Armstrong I know this is from 2 years ago but I’m house bound and would really like to be a nail tech (mostly just for me as an accomplishment like my psych degree) what site did you use and does it qualify/license you after? Thank you.

Thank you!!! I followed the tips you mentioned and I got better nails than I expected 👸 I was afraid of getting them done professionally because they were "damaged" the only time I did them by a professional nail artist... this is safe and more convenient for me 😊😊😊 so thank you a million times ❤

This was a great video, I agree with the other comments i've seen - you are a great teacher! Would the salon tip also be the best choice if you like a little more rounded (not exactly a round , but a little less "pointy") tip? Thanks so much!

I love all your vids, I'm a total newbie to this nail malarkey and I've watched heaps of all this to help me along, and for loads of reasons I rate yours and one other called Susie( under 'Nail Education' I think )the best and most comprehensive, plus, I'm from the north west of Britain also!! ha ha, it's great to hear our familiar and exotic accent! but thanks again for sharing you've really helped me along.

Could you please tell me what brand of clear tip this Is? Also, if you were going to use a sheer pink acrylic powder, would you still use a clear tip? Thank you. Your tutorials are really great.

Arianne Maskey try a no contact tip or a classic form
@kieralambert15795 жыл бұрын
You can re shape it or wait for the white part to grow then shape it (But if a piece of the nail bed is ripped you will have to wait for it to grow.

@anadelacruz72847 жыл бұрын
So do I have to cut my nails down to the nub to be able to use tips with a well? My natural nails broke and I was hoping to use tips while I wait for them to grow(I don't have forms).
@swankelly6 жыл бұрын
Ana De La Cruz With the tips with no wells, you can put them anywhere so it wouldn't matter.

I worked for a company that only provided us those deep well tips and I hated the I would trim them to fit the nails I was trained doing sculpture nails with forms in the 90's so after several requests for the tips with smaller wells I stopped using tips all together n just did sculpture nails i can do them with my eyes closed n I found more return clients with sculpture nails than with tips I just started doing sculpture nails with gel and I'm finding I prefer the gel to acrylic much less filing

If you have flat nail beds what tip is best,also should I use tips or nail forms?
@aaronlefay7 жыл бұрын
Lionness 33 if you have a flat nail bed i would recommend using short well tips because most are slightly curved and it wont cause to much uncomfort and also find your right number (like lets say your index is a 4) try using a size up because they do tend to shrink and when blending it go in one direction on the PLASTIC WELL TIP with a 180 nail file do not go on the natural nail bed it will thin and damage your nails i know from experience the tips i use are from actually Family Dollar kiss nails they come in three colors (salon nail, salon nail white, and natural nail) they are a dollar a piece and they have little to no curve and are short wells and hold up very nice 😀.

I actually cut a nail form to the length I want and put it on as usual AFTER gluing on my tips that way I get the exact length I want as well as a little support for the tip cutters.... but I’m weird.

I got acrylic nails today and there's a small gap between my natural nail and some of the tips. Does this mean water will get trapped and cause an infection? Should I go back to my nail technician?
@itsacarolbthing52217 жыл бұрын
Bron Lowri yes, you should. There should be no gaps, for precisely the reason you mentioned, but also because the nails won't be as strong and could damage your nail bed if they break.
